I tried to post my opinion on Facebook before but all of my comments where deleted before.
Then i posted here and on Facebook, for both Bashes to continue, and for people the leave it alone, and the first comment on Facebook in the post was a spit in my face.
I really dont fu,,,,,, care any more. I see who are my friends now, and thats that!

I'm sorry you are unable to face the facts John. Just to fill everyone in on what you are explaining, we can revisit. Your original posts on the Facebook group page were derogatory, subversive, provocative, and meant to do nothing but start an argument. Your following posts, YOU deleted. They were of the same nature. I have asked you where we (you and I) went wrong with each other and still have gotten no response except for little daggers thrown from a distance. I still have texts from you with discussion about the date change, room reservations, etc. so your sudden opposition did come as a surprise. Your actions since have been no different. With that being said, have fun with your little pity party. Your slap in the face (you call it) was me just pointing out the obvious. I'm sorry that you didn't like it.

Awesome, now can the drama go away so we can all just get on with our lives? :deadhorse:

Enjoy your event racerV...rain or shine, members will enjoy the April one as well.

Time to move on folks.

I think it's just starting. :)

This was discussed in several threads before last year, the whole thing.
I'm curious why Mc decided to start this thread and poll? Seems to have only pricked an old wound.
Just curious Sir.

John your mind was made up before you even got home from the Fall Bash. You only had spoken to a few people and you date is what it was going to be. Im not going to bring up the reasons, nor the complaint that you spoke of. Yes you did ask me to be a part of it and i was not interested, Im sorry,, for that only.I have been involved with the event with nothing but the fact that it was enjoying my time. I have never complained about my role, i have done what i have done because i choose to do it. I offer my help and services to any one that walks up, and that's just me. I have been to the bashes since 2006, it has never been an ORG event. It has been a gathering of members for the sole propose of the HAYAYBUSA. Nothing more, my post on the sites last week was,, again i will state,, was just to say that there are going to be TWO bashes, and that lets all stop poking each others events. And to try to all get along! And you i didn't want or need you to be the first to **** on it, I was trying to make both events better. So you want to point the finger at whos at fault, we both are, so deal with it,, and get over it, were both human and are stubborn,, nothing about he said or she said, i just what to go on Vacation and have a good time period.
I dont want a fight here, there are members that wont attend either event because of this split. And that is not fair to them. So at this point its in your fingers to post what you feel but i have spoken my piece. If you dont care about the members that cant make up there mind then speak you piece here, but since i seam to be your problem then let it loose and speak your piece, but i have let it go. I would rather have members and friends around me and friends around you and your group than have people watching from the sidelines saying WTF

Saiid,
I posted the poll because I am tired, quite frankly, of the complaints - and the mods being the only ones receiving them.

To all - I am tired of the "Why are we doing this, why aren't you doing that"... my hope was two fold: a, that people would air what actually bothers them about the two events and 2, that people would come out and tell us what they want. John and people here on the oRg have discussed a clique of decision makers, and they only way out of that line of thinking would be to expand the discussion. The problem is that people are assuming that this poll has restarted a discussion - the reality is that the discussion has never stopped. And in typical historic fashion, the discussions about the Bash flare up about a month out... anyway, many people, including me have complained about the Bash and what it was becoming. It is a meet and greet for me, pure and simple. But at times it was too big and too crazy. At times it was too small and too cozy. It is sad that friendships have been damaged by this whole thing... but it has been stated that the it is the Mods who have refused to change and that we somehow had stolen control of the Bash... and I am tired of that. So, my apologies to all for trying to give a voice when none had been asked for. My apologies for my initial efforts for trying to hold the two events together instead of splintering the groups. Well, the reality is that trying to be a peacekeeper is exhausting - and at this point, on this issue, I give up. I have friends who will be going to both events. I hope they are safe. I hope both events are successful.

The real issue here is pride, both real and perceived. When someone is convinced that they can do it better, or have a better plan, there is no changing their mind. When someone is convinced that the proposed change isn't for the better, then there likely isn't any changing of minds... hence the rift.

Something John said resounds with me... it is amazing how many people have an opinion who aren't attending either event.

I wish it was just about riding... but people on both sides assume subterfuge and sinister intentions... and as long as the motives are questioned, the events will be tainted.

PROBLEM SOLVED: Just have it in Australia!

Would be a little confusing for some because our Spring and Fall are the other way around to you northerners... but otherwise I can't see any problems.

Pan, that sounds like a great idea; it has been awhile since I was there, but I would love to go back.

Dude, you guys ride on the wrong side of the road

This is my first (and only) post on this topic.

I don't have date restrictions and can do either event but feel like I'm being forced to pick between groups of friends, and that sucks. As a result, I will do neither. I'll try to make smaller ride events to see my friends and meet fellow org members but it won't be at a Bash.

That's a shame, I will miss you guys

Sorry to hear this Dan...

What Dan said. Sometimes it seems a little PA. Luckily, since I'm a grown up, I can avoid all of that if I choose. And since all grown ups can still be a little childish at times, I can roll my eyes while I'm avoiding.

i voted in the poll... (thank you shawn for using my idea) and i sincerely hope i get to meet more of you and enlighten you all to the wonderfulness that is me.....

I voted my vote. I've said enough about this, and we all just need to let sleeping dogs lie..

I changed the oil in my bike last night, I'm just gonna ride by myself in April. And May.

:D

Look for a Midwest Meet and Greet this year up here in 'Sconsin where EVERYONE is welcome.

I am in for a Scony Meet and Greet. Set a date!

I am one of those not doing either but if I were to do a bash, it sure as hell would be the original and not the poser, wannabe bash.
