He needs to claim it on insurance..........there was way too much damage for us to try to piece his ride back together.

His front end took major impact. Needs all new plastics except for left side, new front wheel/tire, controls on rt side, prolly front brakes, rt side pegs, windscreen.....plus all the little stuff plus hardware. Bike is in bad shape.

Not to mention all the parts that I missed!

Glad to hear everyone is OK, hopefully the shoulder isn't too bad.

The broken busa pic hurts just to look at it...

Sorry to hear of the crashes but it does appear no serious injuries linger.

Hope everyone involved is truly O.K.

Be safe out there, everyone!

I have a complete 2005 Busa exhaust system, headers, mid pipes and stock cans, if someone needs them, pay the packaging & shipping from Florida and it’s all yours.

Guys be safe out there !!!

Nicccce!  Good lookin' out.   Maybe he will decide to fix it on the lo-lo from the insurance.  Those pipes would help a lot.

Another reason why I love the people on this site.

Yep it was an eventful day .

After I split . I decided to go back to palomar and do Sounth grade once . I wanted to wok on my left turns.
Well, On the way there past the hide out , all bikers coming back opposite side were pulled over in a group. I stopped thinking it was another crash.

They said that CHP had a check point + airplane , chp bikes enforcing speed , turn signal etc......
CHP reported too many crashes .

Everybody bailed.

V8 has a florida busa -- shoulda grabbed the exhaust on the way out

Glad to hear he is gonna be okay
Next we need to start the buy V8 some new pants fund (his got ripped -- not a poop joke)

Ya -- had we been in LA that nice state trooper at pumphouse woulda written us all for aftermarket exhaust
Trooper said he was pulling in his driveway when he got the call on V8 and decided to respond

hey all. sorry i ruined the day of riding. I got my shoulder looked at and it isn't broke. I am more conserned with my bike than anything else. As devil dog said my pride is hurt worse than anything else, that's true.

To give yall an update on why this wreck happend, listen up. I was following the persons line directly in front of me, at the same speeds. During this ride, I noticed my brakes were requiring more and more squeezing over the duration of the ride. As we were going down hill and apoun this corner I something in the front breaks I never had.....no more braking power. I squeezed the lever All the way down to touch the grips, and I was still gaining speed. I noticed the Orange busa to my left and as I knew I couldnt slow it down without locking up the back tire and sliding out in the middle of the road....causing a bigger wreck. I quickly flagged the orange rider to pass as I straightend up my bike and braced for impact. There was nothing I did wrong, the brakes had heated up (to my feeling) and there was no more grab left.

So to all you future moder's out there, Upgrade your Rotors, Pads, Lines and ecentials before you do any major performance mods. If I would have gone threw with the rotor's I talked to GPW about, I probably would not have had this wreck. Thanks for the support from everyone, including my boss Jerry (AM1) for taking care of my bike while the ER guys try'd to stick me with needels!

Im gonna talk to the insurance company on monday, and figure out what to do with my bike. I love my bike, still do....and it hurt me more than anything to see my bike destroyed the way it was. Anyways, be safe out there.....WEAR YOUR GEAR....it will save your ass as it's proven itself today.

In LA you can't have aftermarket exhaust??? Do they really pull over bikes for that crap?

V8,

The only thing that would have been hurt is your body . Since, that didnt happen , we are all thankful .
PRIDE is a JOke when it comes to motorcycling.

The best riders in the world crash .

We all sign up for this hobby/sport knowing that one day , we might be that person .

I m glad you are Okay . I know it hurts to look at your bike and trying to trace back what happened.
Just be thankf the lord you are healthy . You can buy 2 more busa or fix this one up for as long as you are in one piece.

Maybe it was an issue with air in the lines? Perhaps more unseen damage from the shipping? We hadn't done that much big downhill at breakneck speed to warrant the rotors or pads to heat up beyond usable heat range. Just another question to ponder in this unfortunate incident.
Heal quick and good luck with the ins. co.

You should definitely get yourself some leather pants when you return to riding, it could have saved some skin.

Members on this board have all kinds of hook-ups with parts and accessories (mjb 1206 and sloto for instance).

Lamb looks forward to riding with you again!

Hey Hion, maybe you would get a ticket for aftermarket exhaust

but some of us still like to ride as silent as possible.
