UFO's

Has any one on the board ever seen a UFO type objest before? When I was in the Army I was stationed in El Paso Texas. I was on guard duty at the finance building across from the civillian airport. As I looked across the air field, I saw a very bright strobe flashing red and white alternately. It was too big for an aircraft so I watched it in the night sky. It dipped in altitude at a very high rate of speed and stopped a little past the top of the finance building and the light went out. I am not sure how high it was but I would say abt. 1000 feet. I looked at my watch and looked back up a the object. it was oval shaped with no wings and it made no noise. it sat there for about 11 minutes. Then it started flashing again and it took off slow at first and then accelerated out of view.

"Sounds creepyyy..."

This stuff scares the f@%k out of me, but its okay, i'll fix'em up with my AK!

I'm sure in this vast universe that God created, that there's GOT to be other life besides us. It'd be pretty redundant if we're the ONLY ones in this universe.

But i hope they are good whoever they are, (whether they're smarter than us or not). I just want them to be friendly.

I belive the only reason that they don't make contact is because most people'd go off the deep end, and be a danger to themselves AND the "aliens."

Just my .02

But this stuff doesn't creep me out like ghosts and such...(shivers)

I gotta draw on a line from Carl Sagan's "contact" here.

Someone asks someone else if they believe in life on other planets, and the response is "seems like an awful lot of wasted space if there isnt."

I tend to agree with this.

I have always found this to be an interesting subject, have no first hand experiences of my own(Darn)!. I have a private pilots license and a background in physics.

Many pilots and many physicists believe there is something more than just highly advanced military aircraft up there.

I have personally heard some very credible stories by credible people (friends of mine with DOD experience)

I believe something extraterrestrial is flying around. The scary part is if you believe that, you have to ask yourself WHO. Aliens, Multi Dimentional Beings, Time Travelers, Demons,? unfortunately it's all speculation.

I had a deeply religious friend, when I asked him what he thought about aliens, etc, his answer was.....creatures of the devil.

I think I'm a little more open minded than he, but respect his viewpoint. I think any answers from our government etc. would cause turmoil. Maybe sometimes ignorance is bliss.

When I was 12, at a church camp thing, we had a camp fire one night, and I was bored and sitting on the outside of the group. I sort of slinked off a few extra feet to do some star gazing. After a bit I notice what SEEMED to be a very large black triangle shaped thing flying slow with the front edges lined with about 8 white lights, other than that I couldn't make out anything on it except black. I was kinds shocked and scared and didn't tell others in the group to look, I don't know why.

One of my best friends travels from Des Moines, Iowa to Omaha, Nebraska many, many times for family. He has seen black triangles many time on that trip, once with heli's chasing it. Last time, he even pulled over and he wife confirmed what he saw.

A couple weeks after that, I was out in the country at a good friend's place and we were discussing flying objects... looked up and saw very small lights in the shape of a triangle, seemingly very high and very fast. After researching THAT one, we discovered it is a grouping of satelites designed to triangulate information for accuracy [like how our GPS's contact several satelites for verification] and that has been seen by many.

After researching, we've discovered the "Black Triangle" things are seen worldwide and prsumed to be USA military though of course they would never fess up. Possibly black, night traveling airships since they are seen on clear, low wind evenings, and sometimes accompanied by escort helis.

In ANY case, I still say, if the Military doesn't claim them, and WE know they are not OUR aircrafts, it could be a threat and to shoot at them. THAT would get the military talking pretty quick

I've never seen anything... but I believe others have. Too much space out there for us to to be the only beings.

Ok, I feel a need to interject here a little.

first, UFO does not equal space aliens.  UFO = Unidentified Flying Object meaning anything that you cannot readily identify is unidentified, it does not mean it came from outer space.

Now, take my previous statement and then think about the fact that the SR-71 was in service for 20+ years before ANYONE in the public ever new about it. Yet it was flying to and from everywhere, probably being sighted once in awhile but airliners, people on the ground etc. But it was a classified project for all those years so the government just cant come out and admit it was something of ours just because someone saw it.

So there is no reason to get creeped out just because something is flying around in the sky's and you have no idea what it is.

Now if you see something flying around in the sky and all of a suddenly there is an energy beam coming from it and your buddy next to you is instantly vaporized and all that is left of him is a plume of smoke, then it is time to get a little freaked out

There have been a lot of research into anti gravity which a lot of it is public knowledge, which I would assume would be a good choice to add to a air vehicle, especially if you want to be able to leave a planet with the least amount of energy requirements.

If anyone has time below are some link to get you started on "PUBLIC"￾ knowledge of future technology. Some pretty cool stuff coming

Here are some links in regards to antigravity research

And my favorite, MTHEL - MOBILE TACTICAL HIGH ENERGY LASER
Military grade laser weaponry technology capable of destroying incoming war heads and eventually probably used for ground to air defense and offense.

Currently it takes to long to heat up the laser to be used in a fighter aircraft against another fighter but eventually we will have that ability I am sure.

WWJD,

"if" they are military aircraft with advanced technology. they were built to go to war and to attack and evade technologically advanced enemies.

Whatchya got that could shoot it down?

One night at about 2am, a friend and I were on our way out to go archery javelina hunting near Horseshoe Reservoir when we looked up and saw this "black lighted object" above us. We didn't think anything about it believing it was a chopper of some sort just checking us out. About 20 minutes of driving down the dirt road later we decided to stop and roll down the windows and shut off the truck. We were creaped out all of a sudden because the "object" was still there and was making no noise. I mean it was pitch black out and absolutely no sound was coming from the "object". It appeared to be a pattern of lights not resembling anything we had seen before and only about 800 feet or so above us. We have encountered many helicopters and military jets making runs through the canyons while out in the desert and this thing was not one of those. We decided to get back int the truck and haul *SS outta there. When we got to our hunting spot we got out and there was nothing there anymore. It was just real creepy. I have to believe in this beautiful and vast Universe that God has created that we are not the only intelligent(or lack thereof) life form. To believe that we are is nieve.

Ok, the whole "lights" thing on UFO's that everyone seems to get wrapped up around the axel on.

When any military goes where it does not want to be seen it goes into stealth mode, no lights, quite, etc.

If these air craft were of alien in origin why would they bother with having lights on their vehicles that would allow them to be seen?

Now. I could totally comprehend our government having advanced air craft flying around but still being required to have lights on it while flying in CONUS for safety reasons to avoid other aircraft accidently flying into it. bascially still being required to adhere to some FAA requirments while flying in shared air space over CONUS

I dont see space aliens careing too much about FAA requirements.

Why are you so against possible alien technology visiting our airspace? I never said I thought what I had seen was from another world but I will not discount that possibility. I respect your opinion but why shoot down the sightings that we may have had and what we think about them? Do you have to be right all the time? It wouldn't hurt to just let everyone else have there opinions and let it go at that. Again I do respect your opinion and feelings and will continue to read your post for they are full of valid thoughts and opinions.

Ive never seen any Aircraft type objects in the night sky. However I did once see a series of at least 12 lights that that easily covered 100 yards in the sky. It was a on a night that was a bit cloudy so there was no back lighting to make out a shape. They appeared to alternate from white to red and moved in a serpentine pattern. There was no sound at all and the lights seemed to be connected like it was one object. It was moving too slow to be aircraft. It was below the clouds and low enough that I should have heard some thing but I didnt. IDK what it was. It wasnt a plane or a formation of them and could not have been helicopters. Not too sure I want to know what it was. But after that night I give some credibility to those who claim to see things.

Not "trying" to shoot anyone down. just trying to show people other possibilities.

Truth is, I am not all knowing. I don't know anything really in the grand scheme of things lol.

I have my own little world I live in in my little corner of this planet. all the "truths" I know are based on my own experiences. it doesn't mean what I believe to be a truth is factual in the cosmic scheme of things. it just currently happens to be my truth as I know it.

With that said, there is always the possibility of extraterrestrial life.

All of these "glimpses" and "sighting" could be a way for extraterrestrials to slowly allow our planet to grasp the concept of alien life so if and when they do decide to make their existence known to our planet the population doesn't freak out and self implode.

H.G. Wells war of the worlds is a prime example. a fricken radio show that seemed so realistic it caused a great deal of panic

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_War_of_the_Worlds_(radio)

So if there are extraterrestrials / alien life forms from another planet, the concept of slowly getting a society to except their existence by allowing occasional sightings to get people to start thinking about it and creating TV shows and movies to get people to start contemplating the concept would be the smartest way to introduce aliens from other than this world and try to minimize wide spread panic.

I am a Christian, I believe in God, however being told and shown there are other living beings from other worlds would not in anyway shake my faith. I don't put restraints on God.

There are however huge amounts of people who are religious that the concept of aliens would devastate their belief system for some reason causing mass panic, suicides etc.

Sorry if I offended you or anyone else. It is just there are lots of reasonable explanations for what people see and no reason to freak out about it. But it doesn't mean there isn't extraterrestrial life out there, doesn't mean they don't come here, doesn't mean our government isn't working with them, doesn't mean they are not living on this planet. Nor does it mean they are.

I am at peace with my knowledge and how I perceive things, just trying to share my perception on some issues

Great comments! I think all are valid.

lights on a advanced vehicle may not be for the purpose of "navigation" they may be a byproduct of energy, propulsion, sensory equipment etc. Or possibly navigation lights are mimicked to fool the natives. Possibly an alien culture really doesnt care if we see them, as long as they are not shot at etc.

It seems to me in some instances,if witness's are credible, the Physics doesnt work with current technology (even black project cutting edge stuff).

Much Black Op's stuff, starts as theory by Academics in a University, Apparent extreme high g accelerations of objects enormous in size, I personally believe is beyond current earthly technology.

Who knows maybe a secret government lab discovered a new technology. But Physicists I worked with in the early 90's had no theoretical explanational foundation for some observed aircraft. If we are to believe the recent UFO sighting in Texas, why would any military pilot fly so low, so close to a major city (Ft. Worth)?

Of course we need to be objective,we live in a demon haunted world as Carl Sagan said(Demon haunted world(great book!) and it is more fun to imagine a green woman behind the controls of that mysterious aircraft, than some air force guy. More fun doesnt make it so though. The topic is speculative to say the least. Your input is certainly appreciated by me. You can be the anchor in our sea of speculation

As a footnote on my long winded comment. A good friend Professor Bobby Bracewell (former physics professor, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs) worked out at area 51(Nellis Range) for Kaman Sciences. They worked underground bombarding air force avionics with neutron radiation. This was done to determine what would happen to the equipment when a nuke was dropped. Anyway, he assured me, he never saw, nor did he believe there were any flying saucers at area 51

Oh dude I am certainly not offended. I actually love reading yor posts. They are extremely informative and I appreciate them. And hugs back at ya brother!!!

I dont for one second believe that Aliens in flying saucers come and visit Earth, nevermind abduct people and pok and prod their bodys.
I do believe that the universe contains othe life forms though.....

My space was invaded by an alien once.... my roommate and I were DJ's and this creature followed us home after a late night, and tried to crawl in bed with me. When I discovered the ugly infestation, I pushed the uninvited guest off the side of the bed with my feet. It fought back and was heavy, nearing 300 pounds. It made kind of a sqauking sound when it bounced on the floor and then wondered off. I went back to sleep. Talk about a close encounter! I fear I might have been probed had I not taken action to defend myself. My buddy doesn't remember a thing - I think it zapped his brain
