Underseat Exhaust

rattlecanned. you can see the kanji under the black paint. must've been a custom job on the tail, can't figure out what bike it came from

No rattlecanned, its a super-sweet "Ghost" Kanji:whistle:

The more i look at i think its a Busa Tail with lots of choppin and fiberglass work. The front tpart is Def. a Busa, judgein from thoe mounting points

Wow!! That looks amazing. How hot was it on the seat? Also, did you have any room left in the tray? If you don't mind my prying, what was a round about $ figure on that build?

Thanks!...Heat wasn't an issue as I thought that all through during the build...as far as cost well it was an R&D build so the tag was steep for an exhaust but the finished product was worth it to me!..I had around 3K wrapped up in it...1 off stuff is always pricey....but it speaks for itself!..Oh and there was still a little room for something flat like a wallet and phone plus inside the hump for storage.

Hi guys, new member here.

Im picking up a 2010 busa in a few months, and havent found an exhaust mod that I like. Does anyone have any more information about the custom undertail exhaust on the 08 orange busa posted up in this thread? I cant find anything similar that someone has done so clean. To specify further any mods similar to the pictured one would be good, only on 2008 and up models.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

i havent seen anything like it from anyone.....if you read the thread it is a one off that cost 3000 bucks. If you are wanting that you will have to find a shop i bet that is bored and willing to empty your wallet.

+1 on what Viper said. I look @ that setup and all I see is $$$ and @ the end of the day I doubt it will sound as good as or put up the numbers you could get from a Brocks CT exhaust

Thanks for the response Viper, i'm new to this forum so I wasn't even able to find the thread that spoke about the cost of it. $3000 is actually reasonable for my budget on the bike. I planned to do a build similar to this myself in our home workshop. Australia has very strict sound laws, and any half decent looking exhaust systems don't sit under the required 94db.

So I was thinking if I could even find the rough design/measurements of this set up, I could work on a custom baffling set up hidden through the pipework.

If someone could point me to the thread or the owner of that bike it would be great, ill keep trying to find him by navigating this site in the mean time.

In a perfect world, I would love to ride around with a full brocks system, but I cant afford to keep getting a ticket for being way over the db limit.

Cheers!

That exhaust is a 1 of a kind custom made exhaust. Never seen anything like it b4 and there hasn't been 1 since....

If there was blue prints/ schematics they would've been plastered all over this forum by now so it's safe to say dude ain't sharing

The exhaust can be done but it's gonna take skill, a lot of R&D, trial n error, and last but not least $$$

You can save a lot of money if you decide to do the system without the swingarm. Run a full header system. Run the mid pipes to the side of the swingarm

how about no exhaust pipes at all?
