Walmart, NO ammo sales before 7am.

That's pretty much what I figured. I even asked him to clarify if what he was saying was Bass Pro because if that in fact was the law it is very idiotic. Well the more I talked to him the more it became obvious there are some idiotic laws in Ilinois but I also think he was taking a few of them too far and bluring company policy with actual law. And I agree Daley is an idiot. Maybe you could answer me this, can I visit a shooting range in Aurora with co-workers and be able to shoot? Just curious. :banghead:

Nothing in the state law that says you can't go to a range in Aurora and shoot with co workers. However you are north of I80 and they have some seriously messed up local laws up there so I would have someone from that area make sure there are no problems.

Chicago area is very, very anti gun. Downstate where I am at there are still some messed up laws but nothing like what you experienced. The state law here in IL says that IL residents must have a valid FOID (Firearm Owners ID) to purchase guns or ammo. residents of states that immediately surround IL can buy in accordance with their state laws. To purchase being from Ohio, I am not sure but I think you would have to have the IL dealer ship the firearm to your local dealer IF they can even sell it to you. IL law requires residents to wait 3 days before picking up a handgun and 1 day for a long gun. Also where I am at an overwhelming majority of the people are in favor of a concealed carry law, only problem is the Chicago area has the numbers to keep it from happening.

We've been trying to give Chicago to Wisconsin for years!

You might want to call up the Illinois State Police or JR's Shooting in Aurora to clarify if you can shoot with your friends. I use to shoot there when I needed a stress break, and they were about the only indoor range that let you shoot rifles (AR-15/12 gauge) there. As far as purchasing, you're better off buying online than coming to IL.

Again, King **** and the rest of the ignorant anti-gun, but not anti-gang crew ruin it for the rest of the state. The cheese heads up in Wisconsin just follow along with whatever's going on here. We'll see what happens when Blago gets the boot.
