Technically, yes. However, This is a pretty humid place so ESD isnt much of a big deal. Plus I throw around circuit cards all day without ESD static mats or wearing an ESD grounding strap and everything works fine
. Maybe eventually I will get a mat, but it would not do any good since I do not have a grounding strip in my room or anywhere that I do soldering work...
