weird sound from clutch piston.

gotchya, ill leave the screw open, not press the lever of course, and walk away for about 15 mins, then come back and start the process of bleeding again. u da man.

1.open the bleeder,
2.connect the small hose to the bleeder
3. put the other end in a small cup on the floor..

do not pump the handle..

4. keep the master full of fluid and let about 3 ounces run through the system..if you walk away the thing will drain and you will be back at square 1... stay there, keep the master full......

close the bleeder and try the clutch.. still soggy? repeat 1-4

Ps. Gravity you what goes up most come down. I hope you master is higher thatn the floor.

ok guys im doing everyting u all said right now. no matter what i do, if i press the lever slowlyy then i get no bubbles, but if i press the lever quick, then a bunch of little bubbles come out of the damn nipple jeez! i have a hose about 1 foot and a half long going from my nipple, then about 6inches up, then bending back own into my drain cup. Im gonna go now and try to just leave he screw open, not pump the lever and fill the master when needed. ill do this for half hour. thanks for all the input pls keep it coming ill need it:)

ok. here is the update. i did as everyone said above. opened the screw didnt touch the clutch lever, filled resevoir as needed for 45 mins and not a damn bubble came out. BUT after i closed the screw and pumped a few times i coul hear that sqishy farty sound again, and the bubbles were back. so i reached with my pinky behind to touch the piston and my pinky was covered in fluid, so it look like the seal. im gonna take it apart now and see if the seal is on properly.

ok, maybe i was wrong about the leaky seal. i took out the piston, inspected it, seal looked fine. i bled the system once more and this time is make the sound but much quiter, and best of all, there is no air coming through my hose anymore. maybe it has alwayts made that sound, anyway im going to leave it as it is now seems to be working fine, i'll check for air bubbles after a couple of rides. thanks for ur help guys always a pleasure.

Oh, and if you can manage a hundred days Randy and Rich can straighten it out for ya in Robbinsville NC

ahha sounds good guys. ok im off to make another thread about chain tension ahhh. gotta learn somehow.:beerchug::thumbsup:

man this is driving me nuts, its only in the free-play part of the lever just when i slight pull it in that i hear this noise. i just dont understand what could be making this squishy sound coming from my slave ah.???
