Well Bought some new riding gear. **UPDATE**

Good gear! I even like the gloves! Living here in the NW as well, I know how important it is to have warm hands. Leather just doesn't do a good job of that?

I really like the idea of your leg protectors. If you don't mind my asking, how much did you pay for them and have you been on your bike with them on under you jeans? I don't wear jeans but I do have some favorite leather pants that has no knee protection.
The Leg armor is pretty cool and seems like it would work well. I am still getting used to it but I wore it all day today without complaint. I like em'.

They fit a little odd, like they are a little lower than they should be, but I think this is intentional.

The Leg/knee armor cost me $65 from new enough and I think it's a decent price. HOWEVER, if you have very big legs? They just aren't going to fit probably. I mean They are tight on me and my little ballerina legs so if you got tree trunks, they just aren't going to fit. THey fit under my jeans real nice and inside my riding boots no problem.

It's like that damn Chest protector designed to fit small childeren and the elderly. I messed with one today and it is simply to small to fit properly, I don't get it... So try em' before you buy em' to make sure they fit.

Yeah, why skimp on the gloves Rev? I've seen you hammer folks about gear.
I don't believe I am skimping on the gloves, Mearly getting gloves with a slightly different focus. The Race goves are designed with feel and protection as priorities. These winter glaves are designed to protect your hand if you take a fall on the street, and keep yer digits warm. So while they lack the Hard Armor, they will do a great job of preventing rash.

So no skimping, just different mission. Does that make sense? I feel they will offer less protection than my Teknics, but will still prevent serious injury.

Sh!t, I still ride wearing jeans, so while I hammer folks for not wearing helmets and gloves and such, I can only ##### so much when I am out there tooling around in my Levi's...

Hey Revlis,

Completely off topic here, but I just noticed that you live 10 min west of me! If you're new to the area, give me a holler-there's some nice, twisty roads I can introduce you to that are really close by...Good for the soul if you ride in this crappy traffic like I do

Nice Rev! I had no idea there was such a thing as Field Armor? Hrmm, that just might be what I need since I'm guilty of still just wearing the jeans out...

Love the jacket too...and NOT black; that's just so unlike you! Stepping outside of the box nowadays?

Nope

Back in the Box I go... Looks like I will be buying this one...

Any Opinions Folks? I am really leaning towards the "Stunt" jacket based on comfort, but I like the look of a couple of the others. Specifically the Spinner Jackets Look and feel good...

Does it involve HighBridge?

I got introduced today, to that particular stretch of heaven... Sweet road but it was COLD>>> I wussed out early...

I have the TZ-1 and just ordered the Spinner. Alpinestars makes some great gear, you'll be happy with any of them.

Yep

When the wife/guys and I need a quick ride we do the Paradise Lake->woodinville/Duvall->W snoqualmie valley(High Bridge) road loop...Has been really frosty, though

Also, Ben Howard road right before Monroe on 203 is really nice-especially if you then hit the Sultan river basin road right after it. Oh! and Novelty Hill road (should be called widow maker) and Aimes Lake, Oh and Old Pipeline road, and...is it summer yet?

I am really looking forward to Highbridge being Dry. I blew the first set of corners heading into it Southbound. After that Offset 4 way stop you know, just after the RR tracks?

Anyway I fuggin Blew that first set all to hell, crossed the double yellow, then the rest of the corners were wet/full of gravel. Didn't matter, still loved that road. I figure I was following someone who was familiar with the road, so I was happy just keeping em' in sight. Looking forward to warmth.

I like the look of that Spinner jacket, Rev. Don't know about the feel or protection, but it looks damn nice!

That spinner jacket is SAWEET!

It's like a little retro with style! How much are they? Now you got ME thinkin...

(wifey don't like me thinkin btw)

Don't feel bad-they chip-sealed those corners this summer so blasting them isn't really a good thing

Also, if you stop at Cathcart store (by the funky four way stop) and wait 15 min you'll prolly see more bikers than anywhere else close by...A good place is you're looking to hook up with a local club for a ride...

OK Here it is. I just picked it up today, size 46 (AGAIN)... I dunno WTF?

Anyway, Alpinestars "Stunt", fits perfect, b!tch of it is that I also had to buy some different armor as the Supplied CE approved armor is Brutal and rock hard. Other wise it's 100% good stuff and the quality of the leather and construction is top notch.

What this means though is that I have a size 50 Teknic Violater Jacket I need to sell. Lilke I said Gimmie $215 I'll send you the leather. It's an incredible value for the money. The silver is very cool, and over all the only problem I had was that it was WAY to big for me. So hit me up.
