Well you have probably heard that Hal went down

(GSXcite @ Sep. 05 2007,16:34) Hi all. Omar just dropped me off from the hospital. I have a severe broken Coller bone and some cracked ribs. Other than that , I came our pretty well. I can't stress enough to wear your gear. Without a good helmet, I don't think I would be around to post this. The Joe Rocket mesh jacket did it's job and I don't think it would have been damaged if it had not been for the big stop sign i sheared off with my shoulder. The Setup boots worked great and I have no issues with my feet at all. I had on Draggen jeans and except for a skinned up place on my knee, no damage or skin loss. The Joe Rocket gloves did a great job with no injury on my hands or wrist. Please please please all, wear your gear EVERYTIME you get on the bike. Now that I have the product evaluation out of the way, I'm going to attempt to put into words what you people mean to me, but somehow words just don't seem like enough. What we have here at Hayabusa.org goes way beyond a web site to talk about bikes and other subjects. We truly care about one another. Ifeel so fortunate and thankful that you accepted this ol man into your brotherhood, that i don't think I can find the words to express how proud I am to be a member of Hayabusa.org. I have been blessed to be a part of this. I,m waiting in the emergency room at the hospital waiting to be treated, and I'm getting calls from Shawn (MCMUSTANG, and Don (USN05LE), concerned about my welfare. You guys will never know how much that ment to me, thank you, your the BEST! As my bike was on the pavement, all I could think about was getting it out of the road to a safe place, and try to figure out a way to get it home, some 35 miles away. The bike would not start and although I now know I was in no shape to ride it if I could get it started, I called Omar to see if he knew how to reset the tipover so I could get it started. OMSLAW said where are you at, I'm on my way! Now mind you his work is at least 60 miles from where I went down. He next tells me he is calling a friend of his that lives closer to where I am, and she will stay with me untill he gets there. That made me feel so much better I can't describe how much it helped. Omar showes up with the truck, gets my bike loaded in his truck, takes me and the busa home with his friends following, unloaded the busa from the truck and put it in the garage! I can only hope each and every one of you have a friend in your life that would do that. He then insists on taking me to the hospital, and waiting for me to be treated. Omar, I hope this doesn't sound corney, but I love you like a son, and I value our friendship more than you will ever know! I'm hurtin and the busa is hurtin, so I'm going to go lay down and think about how blessed I am to be one of you!

Sorry bro, this is the first I have heard this.  Shoot me a email or give me a call when you get a chance.  I'm there for you whenever you need me. Hope you are feeling better!
Thanks Charles, I'll be giving you a call when I feel a little better and I'm able to start working on the bike. I'm sure I'll need some parts. I do appreciate the good deals you have given me in the past, and the GREAT service! Hal

Just a little update. A friend of mine came over Sunday to watch the Texans slaughter the Chiefs

. At halftime, he wanted to see the busa. After looking it over, he removed the crumpled up fairing stay for me. While we were at the front of the bike, he took the cover off the fuse block. He pulled the ign. and fuel pump fuse and sure enough it was blown! Put the spare fuse in and the bike cranked right up!

Big load off my mind. Thanks for all the calls and PM's, it means more to me than you will ever know.

Looks like things are coming together nicely... Get healed up my friend, you've got an apt at next years Eureaka Springs Bash!

My goodness, I was gone for a week and come back to see this. Hal, I hope the healing is going well. I have an '05 red/black nose piece with a tiny rock chip on the front (black area near the headlight); otherwise it's perfect. It's yours if you need it. Glad you're basically ok

(Professor @ Sep. 06 2007,04:23)
(GSXTacy @ Sep. 05 2007,23:56) I think he has realized, his riding season is over.
He needs to still come on to OKC for the GTG at Caps. No need for the bike. He'll be ready for some rehab then and 12oz wrist curls may be the ticket!
I'll be there for sure! Don't think I'll have my bike, but I'm bringing Semi's, OMSLAWS, and I'll have room for two more
