Wet and cold weather riding gear …………what do you use?

You big weenie! We're in SoCal for cryin' out loud. When we reach for the down parkas and survival gear the rest of the biking world are in shorts and tank tops working on their tans.

If I had the new tires on this morning I would have rode in to work today. The 405 was a freakin' parking lot. I've got a MotoGP cold weather textile with a waterproof liner - nice, dry and toasty. For monsoon conditions a Tourmaster one-piece rainsuit (It really sucks. A small leak in the crotch), an emergency two-piece rainsuit that can fit in a large ziplock bag, and a heavy industrial strength (think Cathartt) yellow rainsuit (Very uncomfortable but NOTHING gets through it and on good days I can be spotted by the Space Shuttle).

For cold-weather I use lined cold weather gloves (Olympia), Hot Chilies base gear underwear for skiers, or a North Face fleece under my armored jacket. Balacava and turtleneck shirt... good to go.

So, no matter what, you will be able to ride to San Diego Sunday, Right?

I didnt ride the Harley in the rain, I sure as hell aint ridin this thing in the rain. The only thing I have for cold-ish weather is that Under Armour cold weather pants and shirt, some flannel lined jeans, and a liner in my 2 jackets. I'm good for about 50 degrees. Colder than that and I dont enjoy the ride so it's not worth it to me.

ive found that whall blizzard proof coveralls and overalls are pretty nice, some carhart stuff is pretty good too. a good full face helmet with a neck guard/warmer ring, scarf, knit cap, i have ridden in pac boots before, oh and duct tape in the rain, tape your gloves to your coat, your pants to your boots, and your hat to your head ???

I ride in tons of cold/rain weather...until the roads ice over or snow comes in droves....

My Scorpion Hat Trick has always been dry as can be with both liners installed, driving rain storm, wind...nothing seems to get through to my skin. The outer shell is soaked no doubt, but I'm still toasty warm inside the cold weather and wind liners.

Tour Master Synergy. I forgot to mention that earlier. It greatly extended my riding season last year.

Thanks guys,
I will be checking those out soon. Today was super soupy, foggy in my area, and I was soaked by the time I got to work. I am also looking into full leathers too.
I love the way the ORG comes thru time after time.:beerchug:

Power Trip dokota two jacket, no liner, northface windwall. The wind wall is good in a jacket with perf down to the 48-50 degrees, use it with my Icon and it is always in my tank bag. the dokatta will keep you dry, the same jacket as the joe rocket just with a full liner instead of a vest, and no grafix, aka add your own. the combination is good enough with a base layer to temps so low your tires dont warm up.
