What are you doing this winter?

Since we live in So. CA, we just plan to keep on ridin!

I live in South Florida(Miami) so we don't have winters here so that means we have to do mods on rainy days... which can last 5 min - 24 hrs. Weather here is a lil nuts...

unfortunately I won't be doing anything to major. The financial advisor has already limited me. Just a few "safety" things like a modulated headlight, running lights (already bought just need to install), taillight modulator, and maybe some leds to acsent the sides to improve profile visibility.

thinkin of rippin out the engine and sendin the frame off to get chromed via CSC in orlando and then rollin ghetto fab till tax return comes and doin a 6" over trac swingarm then startin the whole chrome tradeout process on misc parts every payday

Iv'e always wondered how much work it is to actually strip a working sportbike down to the frame to have it chromed/painted.

Is the labor as much as the price to chrome it, or is it not really as bad as I imagine it to be?

I'll be adding a Sebimoto carbon fiber fuel tank, OPP Racing carbon fiber OEM tail section and hump. Chrome plate the swing arm, and passenger pegs and rear sets. Upgrade brakes to Brembo mono-block calipers.

I dare say, based on your sig line, you've already got one of the baddest busas around. I love carbon stuff, very purposeful.

Me? Well, I'm in a "ride more, mod less" mode these days, so beyong the 3/4" Genmar riser and Puig DB I've already done, about the only thing I'm adding this winter is a set of ti Jardine s/o's I bought from flrider (thanks again, bud).

She's already plugged in. All I need to do is tend to an oil and filter change with my standard Rotella T full syn and I'll be waiting until next spring to bring her out of hibernation.

Bittersweet moment, this time of year. I like autumn, but damn . . . April 1st is a long ways off around these parts.

So far I have gotten 16/42 sprockets, new chain, and speedohealer. I will reinstall my genmar risers and lowering links. Also, plan on a set of tobin seats. As of right now that is it, but always subject to change.

Well, forget my earlier post, I got bored and with rain, I went ahead and installed all I planned to do over winter already with the exception of tobin seats.

Will be adding.....

Top Gun undertail
Hugger
Tobin Seats
HMF High Mount Duals
Polishing Rear Sets and Exhaust Hangers

And I think that is about it.

As soon as I get a little more wear on the rear tire I will be putting on a set of m1's mounted to some new chrome wheels. They are in the spare bedroom now just waiting. Depends on how much rain we get as to the time frame.

42 tooth rear sprocket and new chain.
frame sliders
Maybe pipe, prob a Brock
remove PAIR
remap
small airbox mod

NOS?
