what could it be?!

So my engine was getting fuel starved and losing power from 6k rpm and up but there was also a foreign "griding feeling in the pegs from the engine. I replaced the pump and filter and that seemed to resolve the issue with the fuel starvation a week later I seem to be having the issue again but starting at approx. 4k rpm. The "grinding" feeling never disappeared. anyone have any thought, things I should loo into?

bkgd info: '05 Full exhaust, KN air, TRE, PC3
Engine was completely rebuilt 3 yrs ago (current 86k miles)

I agree, and plan on working on is today a bit.
However that Grinding feeling in the pegs definitely feels mechanical within the engine.anyone have thoughts?

Have you tried pulling in the clutch and coasting along does it get better with the clutch pulled in?

Does the grinding feeling increase as you increase the rpms?

How do your chain and sprockets look?

Are all the engine mounts tight or is anything touching the exhaust?

I changed the chain and sprockets. as soon as everything dries up I will see if that solved the grind issue. based on the look of the front sprocket... I am gonna be bold and say yes totally the problem. Worn, not horrible but certainly enough.

back to the Fuel issues: I ordered and installed a injection kit to service the injectors. and now a new issue (also removed the TRE).
So I fired up the bike and the exhaust is smoking pretty good. It also stalled out when not engaged with "Full choke" the idle is so low that it stalls out immediately even when the engine is warm.

ok, so I reinstalled the air box and things seem to be cleared up with the smoking tailpipe ( i assume I reinstalled 2 of the vacuum hoses incorrectly).
Bike is running a bit rich nothing new there, but I still have a stutter/hiccup upon acceleration. Injectors are $45 new on amazon so i ordered them to see if my current ones are dripping fuel or misting it ( pulled plugs again and noticed they seem quite damp with fuel)

if its not the injectors does anyone have thoughts on throttle body/"carbs"?
could they be sticking throttle cables seem to be operating smoothly no change with or without PC3 & TRE. Using Ethanol free 93 and some Lucas cleaner... I am stumped and losing out to my buddies zx-10. unacceptable. lol

Hi. $45. for injectors????????????????? My were $1380.00.

Never mind, they were garbage. I am cleaning the existing ones. Looks like all the issues are gradually being cleared up HOWEVER 1 issue persists. I am getting a delay, randomly, in throttle response. roll on and sometimes its delayed a fraction of a second. also dont think I am getting full power under acceleration (not sure tho) did a short test ride yesterday and noticed the delay. if there is a loss of power under acceleration I was more focused on the delay/jump.

Anyone have thoughts on that delay? something sticking?

I know she is getting up there in age and mileage, but I just can't resist wanting all if not more power...
