What did you do to your other vehicle

Other than the bottle, what did you do to it to get those kinds of numbers?
Those are early pics. Pipe, carbs, cams, filter, coil spring clutch. It ended up with a “Dot” head, and the ignition advancer came out when the nitrous ( a 60 kit with a 2.5lb bottle) went on. Battery went in the tail lay down, fuel pump and solenoidsweat in the air box. Foggers threaded into the stock inlet rubbers.

I never dyno'd mine but had the ignition advancer, stage 2 jet kit, Hindle Ti exhaust, filter, GSXR exhaust cam in the intake and GSXR 1100 carbs...I had Progressive springs and Gold Tech valves up front and a Progressive shock out back..

It was a good runner but as bike it was bland and without character in my opinion...

Oh No! Not another bike?!?
Wanted: Garage Space for Rent, So Cal area preferred.

Very nice shed full of bikes you have there Tony, anymore? Or is that all ya got??
That’s the 12 that look like bikes, 7 up and running. I haven’t started on my storage units yet. There’s a heap of parts on stripped down project bits in there.
I sold my other Gen-1 a while back and the H2 went before I bought the Gen-3.
I’ll start watching the “For Sale” ads again now, but for the last year the house build has taken priority over bikes.

I wouldn’t mind doing more parts and spares as part of my retirement.

All the bikes I now have are “Suzuki, 16v, chain drive, inline 4’s”.
I think I’ll be sticking with that theme from now on.

I moved the GSXR.
I moved the mutant Busa.
Slowly getting more of my junk at the new place.

I’m surprised to see you don’t have any dirt bikes. Seems like a lot of Australians are into off-roading. You guys have some amazing back country to enjoy and an endless option of 2 and 4 wheel vehicles to explore with. I have a weakness for all the land cruiser prado, land cruiser VX, Toyota surf, hilux, Isuzu D-max, etc and wish the USA allowed them to be imported. We had them back home in the Caribbean and loved them.

Good idea! That's my idea too, oh, except for my DRZ400E that I just love and enjoy ridin g and owning so much.
Are you eyeing up your retirement too?
I've got 53 weeks to go and then pick up the national superannuation (aka pension) but I'll stay working for a year or so and 'double dip" , saving $ 600 a week.
Are you trading in bike spares at the moment?

I was doing a few parts but mostly just with friends or in local groups, it’s something I’ve always done but never very seriously. Now I have the room and time to take on more if I spot the right bikes.

I took early retirement from work just over a year back. I’ll get my Superannuation / Pension at the end of this year. No income for close to 2 years meant building the new house, new shed, and buying the Gen-3 was a bit of a balancing act with the funds.

That’s very much what it’s like In places here.

Dirt bikes are popular both as weekend toys for city folk and for those living more rural. I used to be into them but more recently worsening arthritis and a hernia has steered me more towards just road bikes, I’m not ruling out a DR or DL if I ever spot a bargain, we have a huge amount of dirt roads where I’ve moved to.

We have 2 Toyota’s and they are very popular here. I used to work at the Port compliance plating and distributing them so got a reasonable deal. A Prado is on our list of maybe’s for the next car. For rural Australia some form of Landcruiser is the default choice.

Something that’s popular here is “The Big Lap”. Following the main highway for a lap of the coast. Most folk take a few months or up to a year. The record is currently held by a Landcruiser. Not only are they tough, they will carry the extra fuel and drivers.

Looks original (depending on what shoes she's wearing), but the sound gives the game away.

Sounds good.....pretty heavy cam in it for sure....what are you running for an engine?

I like the baby moon hubcaps but those rims look period as well...

The same day I saw the orange Swinger, I also saw a Fargo truck, a Firebird and a 'Cuda...all going to the same place I reckon as they were all one after the other....

Is really hot in Florida and I’ve been struggling with the AC on the beater I drive to work. Checked the low and high side pressures and seem to be ok, but is not cooling. I have done a ton of work on this thing including engine, transmission and transfer case swap, but AC systems are not something I’m good at so I might have to take her to an “expert”.
