i traded off an 03 gixxer 1k for the busa ..
Ive had many bikes but that gixxer was the first Ive  had any remorse about trading .. It was bone stock because it needed absolutley nothing.. Right out of the box perfect .. Oh well maybe get another someday.

Before that... an 00' Buell Blast 499cc... "thumper" I re-jetted the carburator, put on the performance air filter and vance and hines exhaust.

I started riding in October of '05. I rode a '01 R1 for a year and 11 months. That was my first bike. I bought it used and I put over 47,000 miles on it in less than two years. Then I traded it in for a '07 Busa last September 26. She now has almost 9,000 miles on her.

This was the bike I rode for over twenty years before I finally bought my Busa. I was reading a Motorcyclist magazine at work the other day and they had a blurb about Rickey Gadson saying that the GS1150ES was the bike that changed it all for him. Used to Drag race a 9 second 1150 back in his early street racing days apparently.
