i made my own topic about my bike, but my very first pass on the my STOCK 07 was 9.97@ 142 w/ 1.82 60' weighing about 170 suited.  i played the bracket game for a few runs and then made one more pass before leaving and went 9.87@ 144 w/ 1.72 60'

i'm wondering why my bike seems to trap so much higher than other stock busa's.  i know i'm not real heavy, and it was about 60 degrees outside, but that doesn't seem to add up.
What mods do you have?? Those 60 ft times 1.8xx and 1.7xx seem slow to me for 9 second passes..

My new best time is 10.2 at 136mph.. My 60 ft was 1.7xx

just curious

those runs were stock, like STOCK STOCK.  not lowered, no exhaust, no pc etc.  the difference wasn't in the 60', it's 8mph on the top end.

the bike now has a brocks pipe, pc, lowered, 4" arm and went 9.25@150.  putting my clutch in this week, so we'll se what happens.

I videotaped my first couple of passes on my 2008.  Bone stock motor w/ power comander and pipe I ran a 9.63 @ 148 on the first shake down pass bone stock.  I have since got my 60 ft down quite a bit (in the mid to low 1.5s) thanks to a 3" stretch and my MPH up with dataloger tuning.  This weekend with air temp up to 97 and track temp around 7 million degrees, the bike ran 151 mph.  I'm 205 in leathers.  These bikes are amazing.  I'm a Kawi convert.  This is the first of several videos I have on Youtube. Some cool videos from this weekend are pending soon. Took out a ZX14 and two ZX12s on points day Sunday.

It hurts to post this but I just recently did my very first 1/4 mile run ever. I was very nervous and stalled off the line, so my first pass was in the 16's.

My second pass was 12.916 and my third was 12.431. I'm planning on going at it again this Friday, I'll have rtvegas giving me pointers. Here's the video of my failed attempt... be gentle!

First time with my 02 Busa.  Lowered, strapped, yosh slip ons, 16-42 gearing. Ran 10.21 best, 1.73-60 ft.@136 . mph. I need a little bigger *&%# to get out without too bad of a wheelie.  Dry nitrous kit and a clutch mod are on their way. I don't really want to stretch it, I like the stock set up for riding a lot on the street.

My first run was 11.08 @ 134.75 mph. My launch sucked, could not keep the front end down,I shifted too early through the gears, but I am hooked like a largemouth bass on a crank bait !!!!

My first runs on my 2005 GSXR1000 11.2s and all time Best on that bike was 11.00 at 131.233
My 07 Busa with PCIII usb small box mod Yosh Duplex R-22 System Irridium plugs all done before my first run on the Busa...First few Runs 11.2's then I tweeked the PCIII with richer values at 100% TPS and did an all time Best of 10.93 at 133.112 MPH........So at least I did better on the Busa!.........I am 335Lb Naked former body builder now carrieing about 80Lb too much fat

I guess I am fairly average. I have an 08 with a full yosh and a k&n ready for the Bazazz as soon as budget allows. I ran an 10.90 @ 146mph...... I was happy for my first time out.

I ran a 10.6 my first ever pass and I staged dead center of the lane (in the oil left by cars), did not know the lights, 42 psi, slid from one side of the track to the other and left a rubber trail 2' from the tree. Best time that night was a 10.135.

figured i'd bump this topic up.....

i recently bought an 06 1000 and ran it in basically the same configuration as i did when my busa was stock. went 9.93 @ 147 with a front end strap only. no exhaust, no pc, etc. put lowering links on it and went 9.71@ 148. 60' wasn't really any better with the lowering links, but the 330 was much better.

i'm a little better rider than when i had a stock busa, but 4mph doesn't lie. stock 1000's are FAST.

10.10 1/4 6.40 1/8TH I bracket race like most bikes here do.

So I take pride in how much or how often I win as well.

track champ last year finished 4th this year but intend regain my goldcard 09 season.

And will get 1-10 hopefully 1 in prostar pro-et intend try run least 1/2 there races.

i used to drag on the street with my old 1127cc's
used to be the king of lunches.
never really tried with the busa.

Yeah, but how were your launches?

I am ashamed to report that my VERY first time at the dragstrip ever resulted in me stalling the Busa at the start line. and running a 16 second 1/4 mile. OUCH!!:banghead: I still have yet to break into the 10's, my best time to date is an 11.4 @ 127mph.

I have been racing a 2002 GSX-R 1000 this year...this is my first year racing and riding. My fastest on the 1000 is 10.12 at 147mph in the 1/4. I finally made my first pass a couple weekends ago on my 2000 Busa that I ride mainly on the street and ran a 10.03 at 146mph. Gotta LOVE Racing!

My first day out I ran a 10.7 on my first and only run .It was really busy that day and didn't get another try but I think it will do a 10.2 or better

i run a 07 busa and i'm 220 lbs :cheerleader:alcoholic:cents:

I had a 11.2 time the first time I ever hit the track with my busa. The last time I went to the track I ran a 10.3. It takes some experience.

my first run 2004 busa with yoshi pipe and pc3,1.5 lower rear, strap front, problems with traction and wheelies 10.00 @140 and the best same nite 9.95 @ 141.9 with no traction 2 gear.last time race a bike was 11 years ago its a lot different story with this monster bikes.:beerchug:
