What do u guys think of these body armor jackets?

I have a Dainese Shuttle Pro armored one piece from when I used to race downhill MTB. I would, and have trusted it with my life on loose shale, muddy cliffs, and the mount snow yard sale many times.

I wouldn't trust it for a second on pavement.
