what do you get charged for dyno/tuning

I was quotd 75 to have my bike on the dyno and tell me what needs to be changed---is this to much to pay? at daytona it was free at the ami place but i was a little to late getting there and the guy told me he was stopping after they finished the bike on the stand. another guy at hess gas station charged 30 but i did not like his set up except that he could of gave me a fuel analize which my local dyno guy cannot do.

Here at my local dealer in Tennessee it is $25 for a single run but they always have run mine several times including running it through all the gears and telling me if I need to change the jetting. The dyno guys love to play around with the bikes and usually do extra runs for free.

My local Dynojet guy over here in the Netherlands/Holland (he's a dedicated Dynojet outlet only, no bike shop) charges "only" 75 Dutch Guilders (let us say about $35) for a complete set of runs with rpm pick-up installed and exhaust gas analyzer as well. Complete set means 3 runs: roll-on in 4th or 5th, fast-acceleration in 2nd and all-gear starting in 2nd all the way through the gearbox till top.

Usually when I go in I rent the Dyno for two hours and it cost me $100.00. That way I can stay there, test/tune the bike and make as many pulls on the dyno as I want.

Any tuning on the shops part would be extra.

thanks for the reply guys== hey animal it was kind of neat seeing the word gilders caught my eye then i realized you were from the netherlands--my wife is dutch from suriname south america but we have relatives living in holland --ill let you know when i make some plans to visit maybe your not to far away!!!!

You are right about distance, I lived in Bitburg, Germany for 3 years, you could take a 4 country tour in one afternoon!
