It's true. He did I was there
Is that the one that killed him?.It's true. He did I was there
Why don't you tell me about it .these stories are getting crazier and crazier. Did I ever tell u guys about the time I choked a grizzly bear unconscious? lol
Fortunately, I don't have to worry about tickets here in Germany. Most of the areas on the autobahn (highway) where I might do high speed runs are not limited. With that, I can run it until the rev-limiter screams in 6th.
I would love to. I plan on buying a GoPro for the upcoming season anyway.YOU, more than anyone else need to make videos of this and post them. I would love to see that..
Check out a couple of Kiwi's threads. May not be flat out but he does ride at an accelerated paceI would love to. I plan on buying a GoPro for the upcoming season anyway.
So I imagine you didn't get a speeding ticket. Were you charged with dangerous driving? How long did you lose your license for?165 mph in a 60 mph zone in March 2005.
Free ride to jail. About 3000 dollars in Attorney fee's. 1 week in jail at a later date.
1000 fine, but attorney kept it all off my records.
No license lossSo I imagine you didn't get a speeding ticket. Were you charged with dangerous driving? How long did you lose your license for?
I keep my riding limited to sane speeds, don't want to lose my license, pay thousands of dollars in fines, go to jail or end up getting killed. If I were in Germany or some other country where I could legally ride that fast maybe, but in my neck of the woods there's just to many deer, crappy roads, idiot drivers in cars and cops to ride that much over the speed limit.in PA you'd probably get nailed for wreckless driving, arrested, license suspension and thousands of dollars in fines, court costs and lawyer fees so not worth it to me.
Under the jail is what I'm trying to avoid :-)...but it only takes about 10 seconds to do 150mph
lol
I'm in Va...and they'de put you under the jail here for that.
Same here, that would be the end of a person riding a motorcycle.......but it only takes about 10 seconds to do 150mph
lol

THAT is the key to it.....some people haven't learned that lesson and act the fool in places where they shouldn't.I might have exceeded some speed limits before, lol...but the key was always knowing when and where...
I hate to be a fuddy duddy but I learned my lesson. The lesson is you go fast where there's the least danger and that's the track. OK, I have broken the law breaking in my new ZX-14R but when I have it done, I'm playing it cool on the road. I avoided getting arrested a few times in the past. I really could be dead after my crash in 2022. I played the odds out to the end and I've had enough. For me, it's not worth the anxiety getting in the way of the fun. I'll go to a closed course racing event and spend the few thousand bucks a year. That's the price of owning 200 mph bikes. Did it on the road, came close to dying and decided I want to live and live a stable life for a long while longer. You young folks want to play the odds, I hope you learn before you die or get seriously f-ed up. Could post the video of a certain person I know who did almost 180 mph on the public roads but I figure if you're like me and you're still alive and without legal problems and work problems and family problems, you're the best example. Just go to a closed course event where you probably will avoid all this. It's the cost of owning a bike that will go 0-160 in 12 seconds. If you can resist the temptation, enjoy the bike on the road legally.THAT is the key to it.....some people haven't learned that lesson and act the fool in places where they shouldn't.
Exactly......there are times when I go for a ride and end up riding under the speed limit as I'm just enjoying the day...I wave at the police when I pass them and they smile and wave back....I hate to be a fuddy duddy but I learned my lesson.
