What is your opinion

My friend- Georgette (who just became an org member)msbusa, is neither butch, or WHO re. Shes a drag bike racer from a few yrs back. Rides a Busa, but says she likes how her ZX14 feels, more than her '02 busa. Has no qualms about twisting the throttle-- She has other girlfriends that ride-
I gotta say- that I have cracked up going to Tx pride, and watching girls on thier sportsters rolling out-- "walking" out is more like what they do. guess its a caution of balance assurance?

(Devil Dog @ Sep. 14 2007,13:12) Women shouldn't drive or ride.......and don't give em' the checkbook either.

Amy is out shopping so she can't see this....and if she did, I'd deny it.

(Gunnybusa @ Sep. 14 2007,12:38) What do you think when you see women driving cars, or boats, or planes? Why would riding be gender specific? It's not here in SoCal.
Gunny!  You smart@ss,  I know you understand the point she is getting at.

Are you saying in CA there are as many women riding as men...although there may be more in CA than the rest of the US I would bet a large majority of CA riders are still men.
Sorry not trying to be a smart azz, I guess what I was trying to get at is what is the big deal with whats between your legs if you can ride? I see many more male azz hats then I see female. You are right that the ratio is greater towards men then women.

Rembered I teach MSF and get 60 new riders a weekend, 3:1 ratio BUT the woman listen and the DUDES ask when they get to learn how to do wheelies!

Sorry for any confusion.
Not tryin' to bust on you either...was just kinda funnin'. You see more azzhat men than women because there are simply more men riding.

If there were equal numbers, as in cars, the same effect would take place...and it's not a stereotype if it's true...there are horrible men drivers but "as a whole" women are worse drivers than men. You won't convince me otherwise.

A girl riding a motorcycle properly is a very nice sight. They seem to be more fluid and elegant (or perhaps it's the eye of the beholder).

Some time ago, I attended a track day and one of the instructors was a girl racing in the local 600 Supersport series, that happen to be VERY sexy, in a Salma-Hayek-esque way, if you know what I mean. I've never seen such a level of student attention during a pre-ride muscle stretching session (led by her already geared up)...

When I met my (now wife) she had been riding cruisers for years....we were planning on buying 2 HD Roadkings but with talking decided on her first sport bike because she always complained that she always ran out of gears and would lean onto her running boards....

So.....we bought our Busa's ( without knowing what we bought ) She saw the white and loved it....

I definitly know that I ride with concern, watching her in the mirror... not because I'm worried of how she rides etc. but about the people around her..etc.

She can out ride probably 1/2 the members on this board..
The reason I lead much of the time is because she loves the speed and handling on the busa..last time she led we raced a 350z and hit 172 mph before she let off..and on our honeymoon at the Dragon there were many times I fussed at her to stop trying to pass me in the middle of the turns. Do you believe she said I was going to slow !!
SHOCKED.gif
(but not to say she isn't very cautious)

I LOVE that she rides, It's very cool pulling in somewhere, people looking and I say yeah that's MY WIFE !!

and you are surprised, your busa is 2"lower

It depends I think.

Sometimes I cringe when I see the 'fashion sense' and think that's just wrong (see following picture). If the first thing I notice is something out of whack, I shake my head (btw - this applies to squids too....)

Because they are in the minority, I am usually surprised if they are riding a bike like a busa. I will be honest and say I usually think women bikers and the H-D Sportster. Not that they can't ride a Busa, it just that most of them don't.

I grew up with a local jetski champion who was female. Could rip the guys to shreds!

There are all kinds of skill levels on for both genders, I pay more attention to attitude. Doesn't bother me one bit if she rides and I wish more would.

2 weeks ago was a sad day in my life. My girl tried riding ATV and now she is hooked.

She learn how to ride 1 motorcycle 18 month ago and got her own. well, 18 month later she has 200 miles on brand new bike. After ATVing she stated that she want to sell the bike and get couple of those ATVs. I`d love her to ride her own with me but it seems that it `s not going to happen.

Hey, I love that pink Busa. Imagine someone on this kicking your azz in twisties.. Now that would be sexy.

(Commuta_Busa @ Sep. 14 2007,14:27) whenever I see a woman riding I'm glad to see it. Wish more women would take it up. Some kinda get a little to lesbo though and prefer to only ride in fem groups. sheeeesh
That's cool. Even though I'm a member of an all female group I ride more with guys. Heck.. my husband calls himself the Chic Rider Bodyguard.

My problems with girls on bikes are either they are "BUTCH" or "Who-Ores".... Unfortunately I LOOK Butch cuz I'm a big girl.. and on a BUSA... why can't we have a happy medium?
uhmmmm....how about?...

cause Madam Cleo was placed under arrest?

I think it is cool.

Ya'll are the minority, but there is no reason for it other than exposure to riding.

(Busa Jules @ Sep. 14 2007,09:22) I see the female population is in the minority here... which is no big surprise to me... but as most of you are "seasoned" riders....

what is the first thought that pops into your head when you see a female riding a motorcycle?
rock.gif
 HONESTLY!
"SEX"

hey....you requested that we answer honestly...and that undoubtedly is typically the first thought that pops into my head when i see a gal on a sportbike...as to me?...the two...(the gal and the sportbike...and in that order)....represent my top 2 nirvana inducing activities...for me personally...in this world.

I love and hate the response I get when people see me riding mine.  I guess I don't understand the difference either; My husband and I can be riding around on our Busas, and I get the looks, waves and stupid questions from people and he doesn't.

Here recently, I'm standing in the parking lot, putting my helmet on getting ready to leave, and some guy walks up to me and says, "Hey girl!  Do you ride that bike?"  Dumbfounded, my reply was, "I'm standing here in a helmet with the key to it.  What do you think?"

Of course, maybe my problem is that I'm blonde and almost 6' tall. I suppose some don't expect that either.
