Whic jacket do you have? I had the 2003 Black and silver Hayabusa AGV and the hump was removable through the inside of the jacket, but as I recall it was under the liner, so you had to reach under to pull it out. You are right though, without the hump in, the leatehr pocket was still raised but not really noticable....the hump is not removeable, at least not in my AGV jacket. If you cut the lining and the interior of the jacket you might be able to take the hump out. The leather itself would still be 'bulging'.the hump is just a pad inserted in the back. It can be removed and the hump goes bye-bye
It was a great jacket, and if I hadn't moved to Florida, I'd still have it. (To warm for everyday riding in that thing here)
