So, ask yourself-
What sort of "community" are we, here on the oRg?
This is a topic that comes up once in awhile- so here's my contribution:
We have members here who get up early while on vacation, just in the off chance that people need help. "twobrothersbusa"
We have people here who will take parts off of their scoot, to ensure that yours is okay. "twobrothersbusa"
People who will sit down in honest conversation. And tell you what they think, beyond what is casual, but still being respectful. "Skydivr"
People who will offer encouragement and are concerned that all around them are having a good time. "Trey young, georgiabusa05 and tiller"
People who will give you the shirt off of thier back- or the gloves "Flicka"

I had an amazing experience at Barber this last weekend. The people were amazing and it wouldn't have been the same without them. If you haven't been to a meet and greet, go- you won't be disappointed. We have some amazing people here that I am honored to call friends- and I meet more all the time. The only thing better than spending some time with an oRg'ster, is spending time with a bunch of them!

You guys are all awesome! Thanks for being the kind of people you are.

Shawn

Shawn, I think we can buff that out.

But seriously, I dont know where to begin. In the 5 years I have been a member here I have met some amazing people. If it werent for the generosity of others my 05 would not have been the bike it was. I can definitely say my 09 would not be as comfortable or enjoyable without the help of some of my closest friends(Cap and Uncle Steve) who spent 11 hours helping install one major mod. Not to mention help with an Autocomm, 3BR, etc. I dont think I can ever let my 09 go because of the sentimental value it has. Shawn you were instrumental in helping me during a very dark and difficult time in my life, I may have been a member for a year, maybe close to 2. But those things do not fade, and I pray I can pay it forward when I am able so the circle continues.

And people like lil charlie who saw my wrecked busa post and asked me if I needed any of his parts laying around. The bar end came in today lil charlie, thanks:thumbsup:

James, that is the beauty of the circle; it never ends! :)

Awesome for you! Awesome of Lil Charlie to take care of you!

Shawn, it was a great time last weekend. I hope we can all go back again soon! :beerchug:

Ouch...I hope you fared better than the scooter. That's going to need a little TLC....

Those are very kind words Shawn. I too am very grateful for the people I've met and friends I've made via the .org.

Heal up and fix that bike, we've got to go back and have some more fun next year :)

Next year, true enough! But I am trying to be ready for Jennings! :)

What kind of people are here on the org?

I don't get to hang out here to much any more, but I have learned over the years that although some people stay and some may go, the attitude of this site never changes. It is full of kind, enthused, knowledgeable group of people who all have 1 thing in common, helping their fellow orgster's in any way they can, like Lurch (Kevin) who offers himself unselfishly when ever he can to friends and strangers alike. I got to meet some of you this summer at the midwest MNG and would love to meet many many more. Time will come for that, but in the mean time thanks to all who give themselves up for the good of others around here. I cant name them all but you know who you are and should be proud to be part of something so great. And lets not forget CAP for bringing all of us together in the first place! :beerchug:
