What OIL

Spray some WD-40 in it. That'll thin it out some.

:D :D

According to Royal Purple you should run XPR 5W30 and you will get the most protection for motorcycle use. You can change the weight but use XPR!

Amsoil 20/50 all the way! Check the wear tests out that have been done, even RP, Mobil1, and Lucas don't stand up to the shear testing done.

I use Honda HP-4 10W40 semi-synthetic, shifts better, quite motor, cheaper then most, plus I sell it at work and get it for very cheap.

I was a Mobil 4T fan, but I just used some Motul 300V. I have to say I feel the difference, shifts are alot smoother. I used Amsoil before and the busa didn't like it. every start it would make noise like it was low on oil, it would go away after a couple seconds.

Ohhh what the he!!

STP???:poke::rofl:

Where did you find a tip to put STP in a Busa:rofl: Rotella T synthetic or Lucus Motorcycle Fully Synthetic/or Synthetic blend. After a year of racing (NOS) we took it apart and it was like NEW.:beerchug: Not quoting a online survey, my bike...my mechanic

Good info and link on the mystery of oil...

Motorcycle Oil and Filters

Don't use Mobil1 10w40 in your bike, it will cause a new clutch to slip.

If you decide on a convenient choice like synthetic Rotella - go for the T6 now and see Shell's tech response on my T and T6 q.

Rotella T 15w-40 and Rotella T6 5w-40 Synthetic both meet the JASO MA
/ DH2 specifications for use in a motorcycle wet clutch. *The T6 was
previously called just Rotella T 5w-40 Synthetic, which also met the
wet clutch requirements.

Yup, old thread.

I recently did an oil and filter change.
Using Motul 7100 10W40 and OEM Suzuki Filter.
I have used Amsoil 10W40 Synthetic and iPone 10w40 Semi-Synthetic.
The Motul 7100 has worked AMAZING for me. It's a different bike now.
Tranny feels more solid when shifting engine feels to run freer and synchronized.
Could be all in my head but I believe it to be money well spent and peace of mind.

I do not believe that everyone will have the same experience, some may find another oil works best for them.
As long as you're happy with what you use then all is good!
