looks good
True, I was very surprised at how well the hardwood held up under the carpet. It used to be that carpet was a luxury item and new houses were built with cheap, easily available hardwood. A family who could buy carpet and put it over their hardwood floors was living in the lap of luxury!!!
Now, fast forward 50 to 60 years and the reverse is true. The nice thing, though, is if you own one of those older houses, you may be able to find the wood underneath is still perfectly serviceable. That way, you get to have hardwood floors for about $1,000 worth of contractor work vs. $10,000 of wood, time, etc.
Stories abound.
Beautiful work, man!
--Wag--
Never installed hard wood.I saw where you looked in on the pics I posted this afternoon-- I had already just made up my mind to go with slammin' it the 1"...I already had the rear lowered and just like the look of the busa lowered. As it worked out, the HEL Dual brake line kit I ordered from Charles would only work with the front lowered...If I tried to only raise the handlebars, they would have been short...
But IT'S ALL GOOD!!!! Rode it to work today and I love the lowered front anyway... Thanks again bro and I may have to call on ya for some pointers whern I go to put this hardwood down in my house....you free for a weekend in the near future??
