What size tires do I run?

Hey guys. I just bought a set of Carrozeria rims for my 08 and wanted to know what size tire do you recommend running.

i would say it depends on what type of ride'n you do

Depends on the type of riding he does...190/50 is more readily available and costs less. 190/55 is better for twisties

200 fits. Lots of good sticky patch on the track if you've got the power to use it all. Def. go with the 003 Shinko for a good comprimise of strip/street use. I'll get a pic tonight of said wheel with a 200 on it if you want.

Looking forward to the pic. Will the tire be too much for my bike? I have an 08 with all the bolt-ons. I will start spraying this summer, but only a 50 shot.

I use the shinko 003 ultra soft 190/50 and the 200/50 both work great at the drag strip and dont do to bad on the streets, cornering is ok untill the tire gets worn then it becomes difficult but they only cost about 118$ RideNow Powersports - World's Largest Motorcycle, ATV, UTV, and Watercraft Retailer

I think the 200 will be more than enough tire. I ran my 07 with a stock tire, few friends that run Gen I with nitrous on 180's and 190's and they're not blowing them away, so it will, if nothing else leave plenty of room for more power. I didnt make it to his place last night to take a pic, but should be able to tonight.

If your street use is truely limited, Michelin PP race soft 190/50 or 180/55. If not the Shinko U-soft is a great compromise.

Thanks for all the info guys. I ended up getting the Shinko Ultra soft from Spencer cycles. I think I paid 135.00 with free shipping. I will be taking the bike down to the track in two weeks, so we will see how it works.

I ran last night on my Shinko Ultra soft 200 instead of the normal 003 190. I like the ultra soft but the 200 definitely slowed me down. I normally trap 116 but last night I was consistently trapping 114. I am going to try a 190 Ultra over a stealth 190 next.

Shinkos hook good but they are heavy. You should try a 180.
