Learn proper riding techniques stock is fine.

It has nothing to do with riding skill. A quality damper increases safety and handling.
If you make it to the spring bash, I could probably hook you up with a demo GPR.

I just thought I would throw this out there:
I don't care what damper you get, it should have 90W oil in it.

Hey man, I just got this thing in the mail a few days ago. Should I be draining the 7w oil and installing 90w before I mount it?

according to mike1180, Olin's has no idea what weight oil to run in their damper.

Sure. Stock is 'fine' wherein 'fine' is defined as "OK".

But really, why wouldn't you want something that makes this aspect of your riding experience "WOW" instead of 'meh'.

Many posts in this thread are put up (by people who know that a stabilizer enhances their riding experience on a variety of planes) in order to educate and enlighten people who might not have any idea.

The best characterization I can give is that the 'busa is like a train. The stabilizer turns that train from 'light rail' to 'freight'.

So says Ozzy Osbourne: "All Aboard!" -Crazy Train

A stock damper is not any damper. 90W in a stock damper may be fine, just don't do it in all dampers. Read the past post.
Just because it works for you in a stock damper, does not mean it will work in every damper.

This is a "Busa" site and the mod works in a Hayabusa

I was just trying to get a rise out of you Tuf.
I assume that you did not find the stock damper to your satisfaction (even though you protested it was so good in the other thread.)
If it was then why the need for the aftermarket?

I think whatever oil is in an aftermarket damper should be OK. I wouldn’t change any of them to another weight.
I do however think 90w oil in the stock damper is fine, and seems to work better for those of us who have done that “damper modâ€￾

All kidding aside – that is a nice damper.
Let us know how it works and what was the difference from the stock one, would you?

I think we are not talking on the same page here.

It was suggested that 90W would be ok to run in all dampers.

I know some are using it in the stock damper and state it is fine.

90W will not work in a GPR. It probably won't work in a Scott's either.

And as far as Olin's go, it probably won't work in it either.

The best thing on aftermarket dampers is to go with the manufacturer's recommendation.

Also I am not the person with the Olin's damper. I use a GPR on all the Hayabusa's (4)

Like I said I made the comment about the 90w oil just to get a reaction from Tuf.
I agree that it does not belong in any aftermarket damper, but I think it does work in the stock one.

I think the aftermarket one's like the scott's LOOK very cool, but I don't have the money to just waste.80W90 sound's good to me. It make's a HUGE difference on the offroad bike, but I have not felt the need on the busa for one. The scott's damper uses 5-10 weight suspension oil in it.When I change the oil on my scott's on my dirtbike I use 5W fork oil.

I just bought a GPR V4 and luv it . The dial makes it easy to adjust on the move. The adjustability is a nice option...not necessary but nice. I think anyone that buys one will luv it. Plus it looks really trick!
