I was messing with my chain and found the end of the rear sprocket hub was ground up against something,,,,I think it might be a rock i picked up that got wedged in between the hub and subframe...i checked to see if there was anything touching but found nothing...Has this happened to anyone here???

Check and see if the keeper bolts on the plate guide for your axle are still intact..... Looks like one of those may have backed off! OUCH..........

Your lucky thats all it did, I would check everything before I ride it again.

Let us know what you find.

(sproket @ Dec. 08 2006,16:36) what does the keeper bolt look like??

Oh yeah i see ...there is an empty hole that lines up with the hub edge....what size are those??

(BA BUSA @ Dec. 08 2006,18:43) The bolt backed out and rubbed on the sprocket carrier

Yep....thats it....I just got back from fixing it....took the screw from the other side (which was loose too..) and found a match to it, put some thread locker and put it all together...whoo hoo its fixed.....

thinking of going over the whole bike this winter and looking for loose stuff....I have over 32,000 miles on it...

Gotta do bolt checks FREQUENTLY. It's even in the manual on the service intervals table. (Anyone know why the table only goes to 15,000 miles?
