Is Suzuki discontinuing the Katana? I just got an e-mail from Suzuki that said saying goodbye to a legend. Whats this all about?

I got the same E-mail. At first I thought it meant goodbye to the Busa. My heart skipped a couple of beats . Where they Emailing me pics of the new 07 and changing the name or something. When I read it was the Katana I wanted to e-mail them back and ask , " I should care because .....? ".

my dad still has an '89 hurricane 600. That's what I learned on before I got the busa.

I am actually fixing an 87 hurricane up right now. Been painting the fairings on my porch. What a mess but its looking good. Eventually I want to completely rebuild the motor. It is a fun bike.

Even if they discontinue production of the Katana there will still be 1 everytime you turn a street corner. Besides how many Katanas do you think Suzuki has sold in the last 3 years compared to their numbers from 5-10 years ago?

Maybe its being discontinued because it cant pass smog regs having carbs.
