What type of oil do you use?

I run amsoil 10w40 and the amsoil filter. $35 for a gallon of oil and $13.60 for the filter. I dont care how much oil cost as long as it can offer some of the best protection.
We spend so much money on stuff that we can save money on like eating out or expensive shots at the bar. But when it comes to putting oil ,the blood line of our expensive rides, we turn in cheap asses
Maybe the only added protection is on start up, I think its worth an extra $15 to me so to each their own

Ive blown an engine (rod bearing) while running Royal Purple 5w/15

I turned the boost up on my Seca 650 turbo and had no problems until I switched to full syn car oil, the clutch started slipping big time. My 14 turbo gets bike Mobil 1 full syn racing

Picked up a used 09 Busa with 5000km on it and am going to run Motul 300v with a new Suzuki issued oil filter.

I believe it's had regular Suzuki branded Dino oil in it up unitl now.

I think Amsoil is also a good choice I may have not worded the thread the best way to begin with I was just a little bent out of shape when I went in to the local suzuki dealer and seen some oils that were well over 20 dollars a quart...I couldn't believe the price they must just slap a high price on a bottle of oil and think that people will buy it because if it cost more it must be better. and i'm sure plenty of people do

Redline, Mobil 1, silkolene, Royal Purple, etc. ...Amsoil is ok, I guess. I just don't buy into the multilevel hype....distributors routinely bash everything else out there, and it's all BS...
Pick any of the majors, do your routine maintenance, and call it good. (:~}€

Anybody use Royal Purple or Lucas Synthetic? I use to run Royal Purple in my LS1 in my pick up before I sold it. I've been wondering if it was safe to run in my bike.

The manual advises you on what oil to run, and from memory nothing that says energy conserving bc of the clutch.
