What's needed for a 200 MPH Busa?

I find it strange nobody has mentioned the most important thing you will need...

And that is a good set of these....

If you dont have the ballz then ya better take 2 fukitall pills. It all changes when you get into the tunnel vision mode.

if you have the machine capable of putting the run it will take many laps to do what others can't...scare yourself a few times to decide how to slow down at high speed...I'm in your boat on the 200+ goal. have fun and be safe

Same here, plan on trying to acheive it this year. I think a 190/55/17 rear tire with stock gearing should get it, if not maybe a 42. The shutdown doesnt seem bad if you have plenty of room. One hint click it up into 6th before 170-175, I had a brain freeze during the tunnel vision effect the first time I went to top mine out which prevented me from shifting into 6th.

Wouldn't gearing and a 50 series tire be better for traction? I know its a straight line and all but it sounds better to me...

Never tried it, but I hope to one day.

I believe that really depends on how your bike is set up. The 50 series tire can be a bit lower in the rear end but the 55 series can provide less ground contact making less resistance.

I like running the 55 series tire but have found it to rub at some heights where the 50 did not. I also changed to a different style lowering link last race and was able to go about 1/2 inch lower than I used to and a 55 series tire would not have worked in that set up.

PS: Brock also ran a shorter front tire. To me this has a few benefits. Less weight, more fender clearance (mine rubs), and in some cases possibly more aerodynamic.

Yea drag is what I was thinking the downside of a 50 series would be. I need to just make it out to the salt flats and check it out someday. Just a days ride from me.

What about juice(nos)

Not sure don't know much about Nos. I know alot of people that use it in short duration but with a 300lb guy with only a mile I think the Turbo would be better as you have that power from start to finish. If you could have a juice set up for small hits in 2-5 gears and a good hit in 6th gear you might be able to. I think if you want to go that way that it would be best to talk to someone that has years of experience with nitrous busas.
