What's the difference between torque and horsepower?

Yes, thanks. I forgot to mention time. Power is the rate work is done and hp is power. I misused the word "work".

My similar sized and basically similar design GSX1400 makes more torque than either my Busa or B-King,
but both walk away from it at the strip with 1 to 1.5 second faster times.
