What's the maximum wind you will ride at.

When I went to Bike Week this year I was pushed across 2 lanes on I4 from a gust. As others have said the size of the rider also makes a difference (I am 6'3" and 310)

Never really considered wind as a hazard.  Snow(on the road) is the only thing I wont ride in.
+1

Cross winds suck, but on a hayabusa it has never bothered me as much. On a 600 or 1000 it does. Its funnier watching the cruiser crowd deal w/it. They look like they are scared to death. On the Busa, just twist the throttle some more and she straightens out pretty well.
+ another 1. can get a little tricky in them bends though

bike speed + wind speed = 100 up to 50/50 then time to find a parking spot...

Out here in the desert, I have rode in 45 mph constant with 65+ gusts.. Not a big deal if you are ready for it..

i think 40 is about my max then i turn into a lil wuss and freak my-self out more than its really affecting me but riding right on a1a sucks in bad wind cause the sand hurts soo bad when it hits you its like lil knifes!

I'd agree that size of the rider has alot to do w/ tolerance to wind. I'm small enough that when I'm tucked, the only wind hitting me is on the top of my lid.

Ummmm....well

?......here in the desert this year we've had some ferocious winds. One night I got blindsided by 70 mph gusts. Weather service verified this. "NOW"....given that it no longer bothers me to ride down the road off angle, I'd say whatever you're comfortable with. Although, don't believe the speed myth. When I'm cooking at 90 to 100, and I get hit by gusts above 50, it's still a bit distracting......and it "thumps" ya good...

here in kansas if you dont ride in the wind you won't be riding much, 20-30 mph is not unusual to ride in however they are forcasting wind gusts up to 43 mph on saturday, so no we wont be riding in that.
I drove through Kansas when I moved to Utah and I found the wind story to be true. It was 33 degrees with steady 30 mph crosswinds gusting I dont know 35 to 40. It sucked. Riding for hours on end with your bike leaned into the wind was a little different. I stopped on the way out and took a picture of the sign that said "your not in Kansas anymore". Glad to get out of the wind and cold

This one time, at band camp...

I was riding back in a post Katrina storm, with side wind and rain and a POOF of wind pushed my front tire a couple inches [felt like 6!] to the right. I immediately pulled over and sat it out at a local bar and grill... where I changed into my spare set of underwear. The bike was leaned over like you normally do in the wind to stay going strait and I think the wind just snuck under it. not fun at all
