Whats White and Silver and over 500 HP

For the power to wieght ratio, I think this is the best car I have driven in a long time. I have driven my friends Corvett and a long time ago a Porche 911 ( 1988 ). This thing does handle like your on rails. I have tried to break the rear loose on some back roads with no luck, unless I turn off the traction control option.

very nice.

Unless that car is blown or it has some monster mod motor, it shouldn't have anywhere near 500hp. It's still a GT with some add-ons. Nice car.

well when you go from the high 20's to the mid 40's you get a blower and a few more decals... in road tests, this car is only slightly slower... (seems Ford understated the HP for insurance) there is some debate if the price for the 500 is justified.. anything that says "Shelby" is most certainly going to look good in the garage

As I said if you add the two together you get the +/- 500 HP, Via +/- 170 on the Busa and 330 on the little pony.

Nice car. I wouldnt worry much about future value. I dont think any of these modern mass produced cars will mean much in the future. Back in my car modding days, Id say that my stock portfolio sucks at the track and my car sucks as an investment.

$ 41K (price of Shelby GT500) compounded at 12%/yr (average stock return):
5yrs - $72K
10y - $127K
20y - $395K

I dont see any car beating the market. Use the right tool for the job. Drive it, flog it, mod it like you stole it. Or go crazy driving the streets of San Fran.

cars are not investment vehicles, but it is nice when you can get a decent resale when the time comes...

Shelby is not a "bullit" proof investment for sure (note the old Mopar Shelby cars, they stunk) But Shelby Mustangs have always held value pretty darn good compared to any other car. The Saleen Mustangs were 32K and not the same car but nice.

Well these were not mass modded to begin with so they should hold some what of there value. And if could drive my stocks that I own I would but I cant. I do own alot of stocks that have alot of value. My portfollio has been ave. 20 to 22 % the last five years so I thought I would enjoy some of that and drive!

I will take that bet... I get to pick the start and stop points....

Thats a nice car, how much over sticker did you pay?
I bought the car for $ 489.00 under the invoice which was 1/2 of the dealer holdback. I had to deal a heal of a lot, but finaly got the deal done. I had to sit there a couple of hours talking to the manager about how they wanted to keep my buiseness local, and how nice of a car it was and he hated to let it go for the price but he would know it was going to stay local and be driven in the area.

I had to

beat him with a stick.
