So, the Wheel Mod has bitten me

. I am looking

at 3 maybe 4 manufacturers and need to know if anyone has these wheels and what do they think in comparison with each other. Also, why would you buy one over the other !

1) Durran Magnisium ( I have a problem here with a Mag wheel, because in my experience they tend to bend very easy hitting road hazzards. But at $1098 per set, they are worth a look)

2) Marchesini (have them on my Ducs and love them)

3) Gale (Newly out, never seen one in person. suppose to be the newest and greatest

)

4) Carrozzeria (Again, good looking but I have never seen one up close)

So, who knows what, and ALL answers are appreciated !

The CZ's are an inexpensive wheel, they are not the lightest on the market. But they do have a different model now, that is lighter than these stage 6's.

I've dealt with both the Carrozzeria and Galespeed wheels. While the CZ's are nice, the Galespeeds have a higher quality look to them with the way they're made.

PVM's are nice.
Marvic's are a blend of magnesium and aluminum.

I went with Machesini's. Found the previous version used at a price I could afford.

(PUNN1025 @ Jun. 25 2007,09:37) HOW ABOUT CHROME?

AND BE NICE PLEASE
For me Chrome is out for several reasons, one not being the least is weight. I kinda want to drop some of the weight

See, here is someone that is actually thinking on terms of having his cake and eating it, too!

Lowest weight!
Lowest MOI!

None of you are even considering MOI numbers. Some of these "bling" wheels have higher if not absurd MOI numbers and actually decrease the already awkward handling characteristics of the Hayabusa as it is.

If you are after handling and ultimate performance,,, chroming isn't even an option or your priority. Showing off is.
