When you've completed all your braking and begin rolling on the throttle just as you hit your entrance point and you're looking through the curve aiming for the well chosen exit point shifting your bodyweight to almost kneedown and dipping your shoulders towards the apex tucked and positioned so well that the only weight on your arms is the weight of your arms as you gently apply pressure on the opposing grip and smoothly yet agressively roll-on the throttle while covering the front brake and clutch (with 2 fingers) just in case you've selected a less than optimum gear and wanna snap'er up or down by 1 click real fast and smooth like as you run deep then immediately snap'er down hard at the precise moment...

1. are you breathing?

2. are you completely relaxed and smile'in your way through your line?

3. and ready to power down a nice foot long darkie at the exit point?

4. followed by a sweet land'in 100' long 4-6" power wheelie?

5. confidently running a loop with zero mid-turn corrections?

well...if you've answer "yes" to all 5 questions above?...then you know what i'm talk'in about...

Let the season begin for goodness sakes...:laugh:2hip

it never ends for me.

in some ways?...south floriduh sux...but at least i'm at the northern tip of sux...just a lil 1/2 hour jaunt to the northwest and i'm in...doesn't suck quite as bad land...which is miles upon miles of low laying swampland...no mans land...1st good road is one long flat straight 38 mile stretch with not so much as a cattle gate or driveway of any sorts...which is where i let Oren stretch her legs big time in the mid-high trips and that part usually goes by pretty quick on a busa...which lands ya in a town so small that it doesn't even own a cop shop...just one tired old crabazz "constable" in a 4-door ford.

then we get into some buck 20 sweepersville sorta stuff and from there on out?...if ya know what roads to take you can actully find a few abbreviated twisties here and there and the further north i get?...the more frequent the ever so slight elevation changes start gradually working their way into the mix...but it all hasta be done at a fairly brisk pace justa keep things interesting so ya might not enjoy your day quite as much if say ya gotta new guy tagg'in 'long on a 10 year old SV650 or B-king or some silly shid like that...he11...i myself usta ride the nakeds...had both a ZRX1100 and an FZ1 in the recent past and absolutely loved both in the mountains but...they ain't no windproof time machine like Oren is..and that's whatcha need down here in south floriduh...but the good news?...i ride year round every year...there is no "off season".

What you say is right on, a lot of us West Coasters live for the surgical precision applied to every twistie corner and every track day corner, two sets of good tires per Summer, not including the track! Ride hard, ride skilled, ride safe....how's that? Raydog

Have yet to have this experience on the Busa, but have many times with other machines owned, on track and road. Ride safe whenever you are out there.

Ride safe whenever you are out there.

oh i try...mainly i focus on stay'in outta trouble...for instance..i keep things tame in the straights but try to have my fun carrying speed through the corners...he11...last week i ground the toe part of the urathane sole off my doc martins mak'in a left through a 6 lane intersection...with cyclecat rearsets...adjusted straight back all the way...on my way back to work from lunch break.

sometimes i just gotta get out of the shop for a "clear my head" ride.

Jinkster, you cracking me up again....on another thread about the light upgrades...you posted up something about your nightmare of hitting an alligator or black pig...laying maimed...and then being eaten alive...just like the 2nd or third installment of Silence of the Lambs...where they toss the guy who was hideously disfigured into the coral in a wheelchair..and let the big hogs go at him...that is some sick stuff dude... here is a pic of me on my very first track day in 08...man I was hooked from there on...it is the day that I fell irrevocably...irretrievably...in love with my Busa...2hip

When the riding is good I just smile from ear to ear! There is nothing better when the riding is good. You will never see a 'Busa sitting outside a shrinks office!!
