Where did you hang your bell at?

I believe it is more of a cruisers thing?

It's more of an old time hard core biker thing. We brothers have been giving each other things to put on our bikes since returning from WWII. It's a way to carry your brother with you in your travels down the road, have good luck and the all important warm fuzzies. It could be a piece of leather, a beer can tab, a foot peg or other piece for your bike and even a bell. Mainsteam RUB as it may seem, it means alot to old and new riders alike. We do sort of the same thing here on the Org. The Pay it Forward thread is full of peeps giving others parts and things, mostly for free. Superstition? maybe. But knowing some one cared enough to give you something is priceless.

You know how I know you got the gay? That was a test and if you saw a bike you are a little gay and if you say you saw the bell you're somewhat gay. If you photoshopped the bell to make sure you found it you're hopelessly gay!

I'm just messing with you so please don't take offense.

No worries man, takes more then that to offend me... have real good sense of Ha-Ha! :beerchug:

Every Sportbike I have ever seen w/ one has crashed - NO BELL HERE. :poke:

Happened to me. Friends of mine gave me one, put it on my bike, and a few months later, I hit a van. Dam near cost me my right leg. No bells before or since, no wrecks before or since.

I don't need any bells or whistles, I have Gods Angels riding with me.

I have mine hanging from the bottom of my exhaust, right where the spring attaches. You can see it in this picture.

A buddy of mine gave me one and I put it on the bike one morning last November. 20 minutes later, I dumped the bike in a slow turn. Hadn't had a crash before that time.

Took it off the bike and haven't had a crash since. Won't put another one on, ever.

And that's about as superstitious as I get! :D
