Where is Rubbersidedown???

He's... well... he's still alive. I called him a week or so ago and had a long chat with him. He's fallen off the rails pretty hard and relying on artificial joy to survive but it's really not my place to share details so I won't.

I can share that his 'Busa is on the fritz but he can't find anyone to sort it out for him. He had a passing thought of just boxing the bike up and shipping it directly back to RCC but the costs and time involved in that would be brutal. He asked me if I'd be willing to take it under my wing and try to work through it but I'm hesitant. Without schematics and experience, I'd be no better than a pharmacist attempting brain surgery...

Wish I had better news to report. :confused:
 
Don't you worry Rubb. I've been down really low and I finally found my way out. Life still throws me a curve but I'm in control. Nothing's stopping me now. Find the man you are inside and grab life by the horns or the tail or whatever you can get ahold of. When we're at your lowest, that's when we get hit with potshots from every direction. Once you get on top, you can't fall off. Go for it!

I would be willing to drive to his location and haul his bike to whomever it needs to go to in the usa free of charge. Let me know if he needs this. I dont have enough change to pay the repair, but i sure can use my truck to haul it for him.

Well as much as rubb has some for people on here I'm sure we could pass the hat around to get him right. And since I'm pretty sure he would refuse to take the help of someone like @VIPER was moving the bike for him we could have them take care of the money being handed to the shop so that rubb couldn't send it back. I'm by no means in a good financial situation but I'll find at least 100 bucks to kick in. If you don't mind @hayabuser maybe send rubb a text or give him a call and tell him he needs to check this thread. And if something does try to come together to get it right someone please let me know so that I can contribute.
 
I would throw cash in as well. Certainly as much as I could. Rubb has been one of the most decent folk I have ever dealt with. Constantly sending me free items etc. Let me know if there is a fund rolling and I am in. If he does need transport of the cycle in Canada, I am not ruling out a trip if need be. I love to fish and it has been a while since I have been up there to do so.
 
Ok so so we have anyone in the great white north who can go drag his ass out of that rut and back on top or are gonna have to commit international crimes and snorkel in across the lake border with McDonald's bendy straws to make it happen?
