Three years USMC(Viet Nam, prisoner escort), 2 years US Coast Guard(skipper 41 ft.).

Wow, the .ORG is chock full of Vets and Actives! No wonder there's so many good friendships....BTW, there are some great non-service members here too, as evidenced by their sensitive comments re: Memorial Day.

21 years in the Army is drawing to a close. Spent my Memorial day the best way I knew how...with my family and honoring those who gave all. We drove up to D.C. to pay our respects in Arlington National Cemetery and witness the changing of the guard.

6 Years; USN (Submarines)

??? Submariner eh... (love you!)

Spent 4 years as a Navy Wife, Jefferycarman went on two deployments to the Middle East (floating in the big blue). First deployment was part of a carrier group. The second was with the Coast Guard and they boarded ships looking for terrorists/drugs/WMDs. Spent most of our time in San Diego, CA. Training in Great Mistakes...errr, Great Lakes...and then also 4 months in Biloxi, Mississippi.

However, Jeff isn't my only military man. My Grandpa Williams was a Coast Guard guy in WWII. My Uncle was a Sailor in Vietnam. My Little-Bro is a Marine (and every part the jar head). My cousin is also a Marine. My other cousin (not named Darrell) is Army. And, my brother-in-law (and next potential owner of a Busa) is currently in Iraq with the Navy.

That was an awsome thing to watch. I would recommend anyone to watch if they are in the area.

USAR 22 years and counting, not a one with regret.

Might be hanging it up soon, to many aches and pains to keep running with the young bucks. I can still smoke a lot of them though.

To all the Soldiers, Seamen, Marines, Airmen and Coasties who have served or are currently serving, thank you! :beerchug:
