LOng Hot Day! I get really bad gas mileage anybody know a way to improve gas mileage???

Stop twisting the throttle......
A tune up helps, consistent riding helps, stay away from stop and go traffic, avoid "rabbit starts and stops"
Part of the fun of having a bike like the Hayabusa is twisting the throttle and doing "rabbit starts" though

I normally head North as the good roads are closer that way, but went South for a change. Yatala, Bearded Dragon, Canungra, Beachmont, Advance Town, Natural Arch, over the border into NSW, Numinbah, Chillingham, and Flutterbies Cafe at a Tyalgum. A bit of smoke about but not a drama, no bush fires or roads closed on route, a couple of rough sections most mostly good roads. Kedron to Flutterbies was about 175K’s I think. Funny little cafe, a good feed but no bacon or pork! Nice setting and great service. Reverse route back may be better than my detour via Tweed Heads / Gold Coast! 370k / 230 mile round trip.
Nice. We probably have the same brakes and TC (Z900RS). How do you like yours?

I’m happy enough. A few folk have complained about a poor rear brake but mines fine.
I had a play with the shift lights, launch / traction control / quick shifter etc. Now I can launch real hard and hold full throttle just tapping the gear shift. Front wheel only lifts a couple of inches, bikes go’s up the gears real hard, no wheelies, no wheel spin, just hard acceleration and the supercharger chirping on each gear change. It’s quite addictive.
I came out of a T junction today where a couple of lads were taking a break, I pinned it wide open and shifted 1st, 2nd, 3rd knowing there’d be a supercharged “Chirp” on every shift. Sometimes my inner child takes over!

What did impress me today was fuel consumption.
I was in Sports Mode / Full boost, I wasn’t riding THAT hard but was on the speed limit or a little over everywhere. Some highway cruising but lots of twisty mountain / country roads on the brakes and on the throttle constantly.
The bike only takes 19 ltr’s but I still had 1 bar showing after 325K’s / 202 miles.

I went for a quick ride today , but on the Kwaka ! All good except some disturbing information from my ol' dear Mother , she said she saw me leave and noticed when I was well up the street that my ass crack was exposed and on view ...... well that shook me up a bit , I can tell you mates !! Even worse though , she now says she ain't worried about the Kawasaki tipping over , 'cos I carrying my own bike racks !!

Look on the Kawasaki website and see the 19 H2 SX SE. It is a new color that looks good. I'd have to trade both Busa's in to get one of those at 23k. Not ready to do that.
They sure don't "give" them away...but they are nice.
Of course I'm pretty happy with what I have already.

I haven’t looked but I wonder how these are holding value and what the resell value looks like on a nice used year or two old example
