Who Rode Today?

I went to the grocery store, and out later to the dumpster on my sport-utility Honda...it's usual errand runs.

I havn't heard anyone talk about turning around and going home when the ride didn't feel right, in a long time, and I completely agree.
That was a hard thing to learn years ago, wanting to ride whenever I had the time, but if it wasn't working, it wasn't worth it.
There were days that were just...off...
And it hasn't happened to me in a long time either. I don't know what it is? But I know riding safely is all about confidence in your skills and bike, about the sixth sense and all that. Once in WA I lost my best riding mate to a light pole, silly accident, pulling out of the lights and a little too much power. I've heard of other such deaths, super experienced riders just crossing the white line for no reason and bang! That time in WA I lost interest in riding and actually sold my bike, got a car for a couple of years. We do whatever we feel we should at the time hey. Crappy riding over there anyway, and don't get me started on their waterfalls

Day two of just riding..
Saw one of the Southern hemispheres biggest Buddah temples.. Hugh site.

Then isolated country road, farmland as far as I could see and not a soul anywhere.
Had the tunes in and a song came in that made my day. Haven't heard it for ages, and it always, always causes me to sing along and get a bit sentimental..

John Mellencamp - Cherry Bomb. Go listen if you haven't heard it for years. And just sit and listen.. So good.
Anyways about to hit the road again, 700ks in 2 days and more still today..

I drive a lot for work. Somedays are good. Somedays, not so much.

I do like the adaptive cruise control and those blind-spot indicators on the mirrors...

When the company went from the Equinox to the Outback I was not pleased. But it's turned about to be a good car. Modern AWD is amazing in snow.
Anyone I know who has a Subaru has been very happy with it.....

When I think of Equinox I now think of thar crappy GM SUV of the same name....

The 2025 Chevy Equinox isn’t bad, but I question why offer it, the Traverse and the Trailblazer; to me they’re all very similar. Reminds me of the spam skit on Monte Python. Do you want an SUV or an SUV?

All I recall is two of my neighbors had the Equinox (not sure what year they were though) as it was a good looking vehicle but each of them spent more than their fair share of time at the garage getting some sort of repair.....one had a transmission go at 20,000kms....

GM had that idea of the Chev and GMC split to double their profits.....I burst out laughing when two knuckleheads that used to work for me were in an argument regarding which was better......one guy's Silverado or the other guy's Sierra..........

I reminded them they bought them from the same dealership and they go to the same dealership for service.......

What I find so puzzling is just how long GM kept the two brands going.....at least Ford dropped Mercury......
