The key is: Keeping your hands, feet and neck warm. Don't let cold air down your back either. Wear layers....I found that wearing my leathers with insulated rain gear overtop works well to block the wind. If you block the wind, the core stays warm. Also, I wear one of them snowmobile neck thingys.....IT WORKS AWESOME. Typical cold weather gloves and good socks. Toe warmers would be in order for a long ride. I'm waiting to catch a snowbile one piece suit on clearance....that would solve all the cold weather problems. Buy it large enough to fit over your leather riding gear.......That would be Heaven!

Good luck

In addition, I'm a big fan of the UnderArmor lineup......although I haven't tried the cold weather stuff yet, I've been told that it is AWESOME. Beware....it sure is pricey!!!!

I'm sure I'd love the winters there, but the summers would just be too dang hot for me. I like indiana summers - low to mid 80s every day.

Nice fleece neck gaiter and silk glove liners. Very inexpensive way to keep warm in addition to good pants, gauntlets, boots and jacket of course.

If its going to be below freezing on my 30 minute ride to work in the morning I make sure to take a hotter shower than normal and drink a hot cup of coffee right before leaving
The hot fluid seems to be a big help.
