Commuta, thanks a million for the pics.

I'm definitely setting mine up like that - good thing I already have the MH tail.

99, it runs fine on good pump gas.  I'm also going to get the ignition module and pull some timing before I spray - and when I spray I'll definitely also mix in a little C-12 since I always have that laying around.  This case saver: you're not talking about a billet sprocket cover are ya?  Got any pics if not?

Thanks for all the replies guys - it's been a huge help

It's a little titanium ring... it's called a case saver. It gets hammered on behind the start gear.

The new Fast by Gast Hayabusa battery should crank any 1397...i got tired of the 2 battery set-up...i will see if it cranks my 1464+ when it gets hot

Hey Johnny,
Go to www.gatlinracing.com and check out the lowering links/2nd battery mount. it's a great way to keep the extra weight down low too. He has a set up for 1 or 2 battery. I bought my seat from him, great guy to deal with

Yeah I saw that. That is a cool setup but won't work with my Spencer underbraced 600 arm. Since I've already got the MH undertail I'm just going to go with a setup like Commuta has.

Also, it seems to be starting easier now that it's broke in and loosening up some, although I'm still going 24v here pretty soon.

Thanks for the heads-up, though.
