Same here. Only real quiet time in the house. I check emails, forums (also spend time on the TITAN truck forum) etc. Sleep--who needs it!!!

Yup, you get enough sleep when your dead!!

How's the quote go? "I'll get plenty of sleep when I die". 5:30 is sleeping in. I start waking by 2:30-3am every morning. Haven't heard my alarm clock in years!

My cousin was Charleston about that same time, I made a couple of trips to visit him. Both trips made riding straight through at night on my then 89 EX500 (12 hour ride) He was on the USS Nicholson ?? Got to go aboard on each occasions, Pretty Cool To see.

Man, you lazy bums. I was at work at 5:30. Shoot, I was at work at 3:30... Got up at 2:30... Yay Fed-Ex load shift...

About an hour and a half. I graduated high school in Harrison, Arkansas. My in-laws live about 10 minutes from the river. Spent a lot of time on that river my senior year.

I used to go up there every year canoeing. Beautiful country. I hear the river is overrun now though.

By overrun, do you mean too many ppl and tourists that don't know which end of the paddle to grab a hold of?


There are parts of the river that are like that now. For those of us that know the river pretty well there are still plenty of places to go enjoy it for what it is. Those places are a little harder to get to but well worth it.

On the Meet -N- Greet ride last September, I took the group to the Ponca landing. So every one who was here experience the Buffalo. That time of year she is down a little but still beautiful country.

We would put in above Gilbert and go down to a State park with a stop overnite on the river. I wish I had made that MNG.

Ever heard of Pace Industries in Harrison? The company I work for used to be owned by Pace until they were bought out by Legget and Platt out of Missouri.

That MNG is happening again this year! May 18-20 to be exact...
