You have no idea how much I wish we would get snow like that here in the St. Louis area. Every winter I pray for a snow storm and every winter we get one. All 3" of it. Wait that was the total for the year.
bwahaha....
Now THAT was funny!
Kinda like when I was in Reno, Tree...I was really hopin for some snow. You know, nice size flakes and all....
I got some snow alright. All 1/8th of an inch. Which melted abruptly as soon as I caught a flake in my hand.
lol....obviously Pac you haven't been in Reno the last couple of winters.....I haven't been able to rider fer squat the last 2 winters...colder and snowier than hell
I'll be glad when were outta here
Although I'm gonna REALLY miss the Norcal/Lake Tahoe riding. Some of the most beautiful riding anywhere I think
Aah...I see. Last year was my first time in Reno. I liked the place...not too bad, not so crowded. Seemed to be more or less like a sleepy little place, aside from all the casinos.
Shopping was alright...had some fun at the Meadowwood (sp?) Mall and at Firecreek Crossing (?) shopping square.
Looked like a real quaint little place...nice weather, too. Yes, even that 9 degree morning on our way to the National Judicial College.
Two things I couldn't get over, though:
1) Sky-high real estate prices. Holy cow...
2) Waaay to high elevation for me. I was suffering the entire time I was there. My throat was dry, my nose was dry, my eyes got dry. NO humidity....and that was what really hurt. Well, that, and being out of breath all the damn time. No oxygen.
Heck, I was glad that I was able to experience a snowfall for the first time in my life!
All in all, it was a pleasurable experience. I wouldn't mind going back for a few.
