Why no upgrade for us?

why is there someone always crying about the busa being the same every year ?

if you dont like it the way it is just mod your current busa to your liking . want more power ? there is a ton of aftermarket stuff available . you can easily make your current busa 300 rwhp , suzuki aint goanna do that for you . want better brakes , better handling , lighter ? it can all be done .

if the bike isnt enough for you just put some money into it and make it what you want . the busa is a great starting platform with a ton of aftermarket stuff available . take advantage of that if you are not happy with it

This bike is beast. If you don't like the bike stop complaining and do something about it. Trade it in, buy something else and keep it. Just don't complain.... Do something about it....

Slow down, take deep breaths, and count backwards from 10. Here, I'll help 'ya.

Okay, now let's talk. No one on this thread said they didn't like their 'Busa. No one on this thread is compaining about their 'Busa. No one on this thread is crying about their 'Busa. I simply asked for the reason as to why much has stayed the same since '99 while every other bike has changed dramatically.

I love it when people try to read between the lines but only come out with negativity. You assumed I (or we) are not happy with our bikes but you didn't assume we were taking cheap shots at other model owners because their bike model changed the year after they bought their own.

I didn't ask for 300HP. Hell, what's the sense of having 300HP from stock but being governed to 186mph?? It was a simple question to which I gave a few possible answers. Heck, who knows, maybe Suzuki has been working on something over the past few years and just kept it on the hush. If that was the true answer, then my question would have been answered and I still would have hopped on my 'Busa and been as proud to own one as the day I bought it. Stop reading more than what is posted. I would never spend $11,000 on ANYTHING I didn't like. Heck, I order my Whopper from BK with no onions or tomatoes ... and that's a $3 sandwich. I can easily open it and remove them myself, but I refuse to spend any amount of money on something I don't want. Thus the reason I haven't made any serious mods to my bike, because I'm happy with it.

Happy riding dude.

have you looked at the resell for you 'busa lately... if they redesign it.. what do you think gonna happen to it?/ haha down the tubes..

personally I hope they don't redesign it until after I get tired of mine and sell it anyways.

Why would you ever get tired of it?

I can't think of a reason to get tired of a busa.

I used say i was waiting for the update, but I realized a lot after reading a few thousand posts and tons of newsletters, articles etc...

What I realized is that I was whining about HP and Weight. for no good reason.
It would be nice for it get a few more HP and a few less lbs. But the turbo I'm putting on it, all the electronics, the trac arm, all that stuff makes it weigh more than the stocker.

I had to remember suzook put this bike through the wind tunnel at a cost of god only knows how much. So it IS THE MOST aerodynamic design available, unless someone else spends the same money to make another body with the type of CD.

Update for all, found one, gonna pick it up in a few weeks, then deal with selling the gixxer. the busa is all primered, my mechanic/friends old turbo drag bike. Wish i had picked it up when it was in turbo form, but it was barely streetable, just a dump pipe, radical cams etc...Plus he layed it over at 160 on the top end (that's why it got rebuilt) It slowed down (crashed) on the left side, but luckily didn't flip over, just slid.

He rebuilt the motor to a mostly stock trim, but with the 2x intake cam mod and a arata Ti system. Bike turns 170 without a PCUSB. Should be able to pick up a few more HP with the PC and an hour on the dyno. He sold the damn 10 over trac arm, so i gotta pick up my own now. Oh well, Atleast Ill have a BUSA project!
