Why pick on a poor ole busa?

I have to laugh at the people that will come up to me on my Busa and want to race. This seems to be a daily occasion during the summer around here. Saturday night, I had some guy on a "built" 883 Sportster with nitrous wanting to race. I tried to spare him the embarrasement, but after much persistance, we took it to the bridge. He didnt even want any lengths or the break, so we did it heads up style. Needless to say, he is still choking on my dust right now. I let him keep his measly 50 bucks and sarcastically told him "This a$$ whoopin was for free". Do any of you guys constantly get harrased about racing?

"built" 883 Sportster [/QUOTE]
I have always loved the Sportster and still have 2,but I would never consider an 883 as being built!
Unless you mean chrome and all the crap....
I constantly am on the prowl for a good square off,but it never happens..

Let’s add that we do not support nor condone any type of street racing.

With that being said, I get picked on all the time, (cars, bikes, joggers

) but I am the passive aggressive rider.

If they deserve it/ask for it I will oblige!

True Heavy, I definately don't condone or recommend street racing to anyone. I guess that makes me a hipocrite, but nonetheless, it isn't a safe or smart idea. I race at the track every weekend to take out my aggressions, but let my pride get the best of me in this instance.

I think we knew that, I just didnt want you to be portayed as a squidly street racing a-hole!

A coupla weeks ago, I had a guy on a Valkrie try to outrun me...
I was easing along about 75 or so and this ZZTop looking biker pulls up beside me, looks at my bike, and then pins it...
I just stayed with him till he topped out...
Which, by the way was more than I thought possible...
I have a Speedohealer now and I was showing a true 130...
I was impressed...
At that point I waved at him and twisted it up to about 160 and then backed off till he cought back up...
We rode the rest of the way into Ingleside together at 65 to 70 and stopped at a Shell station...
This guy was about 6'6" and around 280# and was the typical badass biker type, or so I thought...
Consider me guilty of judging the book by the cover...
He was very easy going and polite...
We exchanged compliments, I told him I was impressed with his top speed and he was equally impressed with how fast I pulled away when I twisted it...
He said he had heard of the Busa'a power but would now be able to tell his HD buddies just how insane they are...
The guy even offered to buy me a Beer...
Again, this guys appearance and attitude were very different...
So we each made a new friend and got to have a little fun on the road, which was almost deserted early Sunday morning...
Turned out to be a good ride, but aint they all...

But I enjoy the occasional "Class Session"

I get harrassed by more cars than bikes. I always have some punk in an eclipse or some other import or some kid with a high rear spoiler on a cavalier or something stupid trying to race me. They buy an after market exhause which makes their stoch engine sound like a weedeater and think they are all bad. I will crouch down and act like i am going to race them and then do nothing. It pisses them off.

I find myself actually looking for cars to meet up with at stoplights... but I always come to a stop next to old farts in Caddies....

Oh, yeah... today I actually looked at my speedo and hit 130... amazing how easily the busa gets to that speed. I was only in 4th.

I pulled up next to a bad ass Vette on the interstate the other day and I was truly just checking it out. I happened to look at the driver and he was waving no to me. I guess he has already been spanked by one of us.

Heavy, about your ECC question. Yes, it is a riding club here on the Outer Banks. I founded it in 03 and have had alot of fun tryin to get it built up to actually being a legit group. More than just riding buddies, we are all very good friends so that makes it nice to be a part of.

Also, here's a clip of our crew Heavy.
