WI/upper Midwest-east Meet & Greet

Sooo...who among you has chatterboxes?

If no one does, there's little point in packing and hauling mine to Wisconsin...well, I do use it for my iPod.

Anyway...anyone?

Hey, now...remember they're not called HillBilly's anymore.

They're referred to as Appalachian Americans!

Well, I have a chatterbox... But hopefully she'll stay home.

Unless there are drinks... In which she's much more fun.

Anyway, back to the grub post in the Gurnee area. Anyplace, off of I-94 is ok, but if you swing a little east at the corner of Milwaukee Road Rt. 21 (Familiar name for the boy's up north. "Mill-Walk-Key" It's like the mother ship calling them home.) and Highway 41, there's a few others. Like maybe the point restaurant or across the street at the Fat-Man-Inn, HD crowd there though. (yes they have breakfast, steak and eggs.) Just a thought…

Wow Mike, forgot about FatMan's have not been there in a while. That should be easy for peeps to find also, not as easy as Cracker barrel but still easy.:beerchug:

Yeah, Kevin

I thought it might be a nice change of pace for someone who's been on the road. Even though the new owner has remodeled it to look like every Greek restaurant in the area. Food is much better than the original though. Also, if the out of town peeps coming "from" or "though" Chicago ( I-90 / I-94 ) take Hwy 41 at the Eisenhower Split instead of I-294 through Deerfield, they can avoid the construction on the express way and the toll booths $$. Hwy 41 runs right by Fat Man's and the Point, then straight up to cheddar curtain. The expressway has been a real mess, it's no place to get trapped when the trucks are barreling down on you. There is no place to go, especially on the shoulder with those construction signs whizzing by every ten feet. Just a thought…:beerchug:

link: Welcome to Fatman The Original

This is the hours they are open.

Sunday - Thursday 7 am till 1 am

Again, Fat Man's is typically a Hardley crowd. Might be some fun to poke around and look at some geriatric bikes. Maybe even enter the best bandana contest. If we make one of them mad, just move fast, they'll probably break a hip.

Oh, and Crack Head Barrel may not be the best place to meet. I have Roger in tow.:poke:

Im down to get in on some of these rides, I can get some of my buddies to come along too.. Always free on Sundays so just let me know. Looks like the next one is this Sunday, pretty sure I can get over to that one.. Let me know!

Who is Roger?

Who is Roger? That's quite the question.

Actually I was fishing for Big Diesel to bite… He's a buddy of mine who Big D has met, who is an endless source of entertainment. The Crack comment is a bit of an inside joke. Yeah the good times… The free squad car rides… hitting on the arresting officer (male)… being irate with the strip club's management because the girls weren't giving him change (He was using Dollar bills, not Fives, or Tens.) Oh the good times…

Hey guys been busy with stuff *lazy-azz tenant/so-called FRIEND, aka 'I pay rent late every month'* but I think I got thru with the 4-page letter I wrote...if not, well I have a key to the place, and dvds sell pretty g**dam quik on Ebay:whistle:

Kev- the best way I can describe Roger is:
Dog the Bounty Hunter-meets-Bobcat Goldthwait-meets-The Amazing Jonathan....and then add Crack:laugh:

funny azz guy but I can never tell when he's serious...and apparently neither can leo's either:moon:

Note to all peeps looking at the Ohlins steering damper:
YOU HAVE TO REMOVE YOUR TOP TRIPLE, AND ALL OHLINS MOUNTING HARDWARE to get tank open *which is very nice when you're trying to change sparkplugs:snap:* oh yeah-and the main mounting bracket is held down with a 1 1/4" nut-you know, one of those dime-a-dozen sockets that comes in every normal kit out there::9 NOT!
took frickin 2 hours to change plugs....ugh! I dont even wana ride anymore today...

Damn I was at the meet and greet and theres no pics of me...lol Oh well maybe next time I'll stay longer and bug you Firedog...

Who is Roger?

i have been thinking the same thing ever since i got a phone call and voicemail from someone named Roger when i was down in indy for motogp. i was like, "the only roger i know is in the military over in the middle east and this isn't his number."

i figured it was a wrong number.

anyways, i am in for the sunday portion only of this event. anyone from the chi-area want to meet up, maybe at the des plaines oasis, and head up there together let me know.
