Windshield Installation

pretty much like whats been said... i do the same thing. From the outside in i lube it up and push on it to get it started and then put the screw in from the inside (by the dash) a few turns and use the screw to pull the rubber thing all the way through. It has to come all the way through to where the little rib is on the inside of the dash area. Then remove the screw and install it from the outside like its supposed to be.

WOOHOOO it worked!! I used the windex method.... considering the rubber thingies had been rolling around on my husband's shop floor for over 2 weeks I preferred not to LICK EM.

I learn something new every day!

Now if I could just find the ONE missing screw for the fairing!!

Always have the screww in a turn or two and either a add gob of spit... use the lick method... soap n lather method... the Greek windex method... or anything else that'll lube the rubber to allow you to push it in the hole without leaving to much residual to clean up. Use your other hand to pinch the fairing and the screen together.

man, no matter how you put this it just doesn't sound right...
nothing better than Windex.Trust us Greeks
