Windshield noise

Hello, i have an 03 busa and since day 1 i have had a vibrating noise coming from the windshield during certain rpm's - roughly around 5-6k and 8-9k i believe. This is my first busa, and while i know that there's almost always vibrating noises on motorcycles, my last one had some as well its sort of the nature of the beast, this in particular is quite obnoxious. Like i said i wouldnt be asking if i didnt think it abnormal. I figured before i went back to the dealer and made a possible ass of myself by asking a dumb question, i'd do it on here first.

Thanks in advance for any/all advice and wisdom in the matter!

First things first--get rid of the stock windscreen its worthless for regular riders, and get a Double Bubble screen or something along those lines.

But if you decide to keep it check to make sure your bolts are tight. If so , you may have to put some tape along the bottom edge of your screen to eliminate the vibrating. The bought the whistling wind noise when you bought the bike

Yup what Dezzy said, electrical tape worked wonders on my Double Bubble, no more vibes...

My stock one did the same noise your talking about, but before i tryed to solve the problem i bought a db wind screen and the noise is gone now.

Hey thanks guys, i figured it could have easily been a common occurrence. I am definitely thinking about a double bubble or similar aftermarket windscreen. The stock does pretty much nothing but shoot all the wind directly at my face...i'm 6'3"... In the meantime however i would rather listen to the wonderful sound of the engine over the rattle of plastic parts

e-tape did the trick on mine and only takes like 15 min to do.

Mine does it too. I am looking for a new one since mine has brake fluid scars from the time my line blew... I will make sure to use the electrical tape idea before installing the new one.
