That is just not right, looking at the way those holes are drilled it would not take to much stress to crack them.:banghead: I would never use something the took load with holes above or below, that is trouble right there.
 
i didnt feel it while riding... i pulled the bike out of the garage and i backed up for a second and just saw the link swinging. i actually have the soupy's links but the way my swingarm is built the underbracing wouldnt let them fit.
 
The more holes,the weaker that lowering link will be.Strongly not advisable,better get one with lesser holes.
Or better and harder quality type of metal.

Sorry about your loss,luckily you discovered it before hard riding.
 
It's is possible,but I haven't read or heard of a threaded one snapping.

and yes i have seen it happen to the threaded ones , i just couldnt find the pictures of it
 
also i will say the bolts may not of been really tight on those allowing it to work its way back and forth and break the swiss chesse holes!!
