(Lamb busa @ May 15 2007,16:flamethrowing:) In the end,  good people is good people!  Jerry Falwell has proved,  like Jesse Jackson and many a fallen priest that just because you're religious doesn't make you good people!

For every negative and clearly ignorant statement that Falwell uttered there are 10's of 1000's of postive and thoughtful ones!  Even though Lamb isn't religious,  he still prefers to remember people in a positive light!  He would pack Qualcomm stadium 2 days in a row!  once a year!  First day in english,  second day in spanish!  Somebody was getting something from what he had to say!  Whether it was gay bashers or Vegans,  somebody was trying to find solace and direction!  Not all of us need religion to find our way,  but a few of those who do tried with Jerry Falwell.  For that Lamb gives him props!  He was about trying to help people,  misguided or not!
Lamb, you continue to impress me with your thoughts

(LCB @ May 15 2007,14:03) And it's true Revvv, Va is a big girl and knows how to handle herself but that doesn't mean she has to be subjected to schoolyard bullying.  You may feel it was provoked, I don't but if you do feel it was - does that still give anyone the right to essentially humiliate another person in such a public display?  It's time to step back and remember the greater good this site provides to all of us.  Let's all think twice and re-read what we write before pressing that button at the bottom of the page, shall we?       Thank you...
I'm sorry, I didn't realize I said anything negative. I actually thought I defended her to an extent. If my comments were taken the wrong way then I ast that my appology be accepted.

(dadofthree @ May 15 2007,14:14) Christians should mimic Christ and look at who he partied with. Whores, Tax Collectors, and Leapers.

Thank God for Christ

Remember, GOD needs your money. Make checks payable to cash, and send them to this PO box.

Just last night god said to me, If you don't raise at least $10 million dollars in the next three weeks, I will destroy your house. All 8 of them.

Later,

Steve

And that is more or less my thought of most Televangelist's... I'm not judging them by any means, but I refuse to watch them... Each time I do, it feels like they just want to make money off the TV show they're doing (Benny Hinn, the faith healer comes to mind)... If someone wants to praise God, they will read the Bible or gather with some friends (IE, church, fellowship, whatever they'd like), not turn on the TV and be a Sloth (1 of the 7 deadly sins...). As the Bible says, where 2 or more are gathered, God will be there. Basicly, the sabbath was on a saturday, not sunday as they would have you believe and is actually in some of their church statements. My views have gone from Nazarene church, where I've only felt the Spirit there when 1 pastor was preaching, and that was my Uncle (By the way, my step dad was a pastor, never felt the spirit with him); to Church of the Bretheren, where the only pastor I've seen preach reminds me of my step dad (my friends dad is a pastor for the Bretheren, GREAT guy, just never seen him preach, as he travels 1 1/2 hrs to preach each Sunday), and now I'm feeling PULLED by the Holy Spirit to Messianic Jewdiasm (sp)... I've been 1 time, and out of EVERY church I've been to, I felt something more that day... I believe God doesn't want us to be angry with others, or to outcast them... Gay, non-christian, or otherwise... Quite the opposite, we should embrace them. As stated before, ALOT of my friends, accuantances, or whatever are FAR from being Christian, and if thats what they choose, so be it, their still my friend, and I won't push religion on them. I've noticed that those who push religion on others actually drive them away.

Anyway, Rant over... God Bless.

This preacher can live for a while in my book. Funny!

my thoughts: He was a Man of God who spoke as what he perceived as Truth. one time i listened to a sermon on tv he did on drinking alcohol. it was so powerful to me that i almost sent away for the cassette. at least i know where he is today- there is no doubt in my mind. He is literally resting in peace now. amen.
